We are supposed to hang with my friend and her 1 month old today and DD woke up with boogers and a 99.8* temp. I'll leave it up to friend but am bummed it might not happen.
DH took E to daycare so I had time to stop and get starbucks and got to work early, woot!
DH and I decided we are taking it easy this weekend. Just getting some stuff hung up and organized. The garage priming/painting can wait until it's cooler.
I have my first ultrasound this morning. I should be 6 weeks. They pushed my 8am appointment back to 10:15 cause of some conflict. I came in to work but I"m sitting here entirely unable to concentrate on anything.
DS made it through 2 weeks of daycare before getting sick. He woke up covered in snot and with a 102 fever. Luckily I don't have to be at work today. Unfortunately, I was planning on going in, so I left all my stuff there. So now I have to drag DS all the way to work so I can pick up my stuff so I can get some work done over the weekend to prepare for the first day of school on Monday. Hopefully he'll be better by Monday.

H left for a trip today and of course DD woke up early, wet the bed, didn't eat what she asked for for breakfast, and is currently a whining puddle on the floor.
I'm taking the day off from my life. I had grand plans of decorating and organizing the nursery but nahhhh. I'm going to laze in bed and read magazines.
Idk what's going on in my house lol. The other day there was a bat flying around the inside of my house and this morning around 3am I heard scratching/walking above my head in our bedroom. Pretty sure bats don't walk so idk if this is coincidence or if there's bats in my attic and it's bringing in other animals? Gah! DH is putting some live traps up there today.
I miss sleep. DD was attached to the boob from 330am-630am and this was on top of the 1am and 2am wake-ups she had last night. Hopefully H takes her in the morning tomorrow so I can sleep in.
We were supposed to have our floors redone today and tomorrow. Guy doing them texted H this morning that he is currently hospitalized with kidney stones. I feel for the guy, I truly do. I know they are painful. I'm just bummed. Logistics for me and the baby getting out of the house are too complicated to change now, so we are still going away (without H) for two nights regardless of what does or doesn't happen with the floors. That makes me sad.
Am I being too optimistic that I'm hopeful the guy passes his stones today and is feeling good enough to start the floors tomorrow? UGH.
Gap was out of stock on a few things I ordered, they let me know via email and gave me a 10% off code for my next order. It doesn't look like there's an expiration - think I can stack that 10% w/upcoming labor day sales?
I'm stoked about this OOT wedding - I'll let y'all know how much I drink
Also, I did some carpentry last night. I was a little hesitant to break out my nail gun, air compressor & mitre saw at 33 weeks, but honestly, they're not super loud. I kept the air compressor in the garage too. I needed to get these things done so I can wrap up our basement reno.
Leaving early today to take DD to meet her new teachers - she moves up to her new class Monday. She's had a blast at her old in-home this week, which makes me happy, but she seems excited about going back to school too.
H comes home tonight!! Yay for 2 long stretches of solo parenting being over.
Also, I showed DD her cake topper today for her bday party and she said "but where are the princesses?" LOL and uhoh We will do princesses on her actual birthday, I guess! @natariru ETA: She did love it otherwise
Our fridge broke overnight and all our food is defrosted, UGH. We had started stocking fish and lobster for fall and it all needs to be eaten or thrown out. I called my mom, I am giving stuff to her and all my aunts/uncles that are local as I would rather it be eaten by someone!
@natariru, yes suggesting a park is fine. That's what has happened when we've been contacted the same way, and then after meeting at mutual public spaces and we both figured out we're normal people, then playdates at houses were scheduled.
3 nighttime wakeups 3 nights in a row is all it takes for me to resent my husband. Send caffeine.
Last night was the worst. Ds2 would only sleep when held, transferring to the crib resulted in screaming. He screamed for hours all together. I made an appt for the afternoon to check for an ear infection. He was just inconsolable. That plus a 102 fever in the afternoon yesterday has me convinced.
He's refusing to nurse again this morning so that's awesome.
I finally got ds2 in his crib around 1:15 last night and then 10 min after I got to sleep ds2 woke me up to pee. Then he cried and whined about washing his hands and woke up the baby. I don't think I've ever felt so much rage before.
Somehow, N is still sleeping and A is sleeping on me.
I think we're going to hit up the splash pad and the have lunch at the bar.
I asked N what he wanted to do today and he said swim lessons lol. The last swim lessons i signed him up for, he refused to get in the pool for two weeks, so we didn't go for the last session.
We're taking the kids to Sesame Place tomorrow. DS is going to be super excited. I can't wait. My life has definitely changed. I can't believe I'm excited to lay on a lazy river with hundreds of small children.
I had a weird dream that i remembered when I read winemaker06 s post.
I couldnt remember what size clothes each kid needed so u wrote it on their cheeks (both sides!) with sharpie. But then I was sad because I realized it wouldn't wash off for 1 month pictures. Crazy PP dreams!
