Kindle - I didn't read at all with DD, but I had trouble sleeping and read almost 2 full books (very light beach read style books, not anything requiring brain power) in the hospital with DS.
OTC pain killer for your DH; if he gets a headache, the hospital won't give him meds.
I know this is a serious and valid suggestion, but I'm picturing me in labor at 10cm or recovering from birth or trying to get a newborn to latch - and then my H asking for an ibuprofen "for his headache." Hahahahahaha he wouldn't live.
LOL. I was thinking of during the hospital stay after the baby had already been born.
our maternity ward had a snack room 4 years ago, need to see if they still have it. They had all kinds of stuff and you could just grab what you wanted.
I also liked my hair dryer, nursing nightgown for under the robe, cords for all my electronics, and I packed vitamin water and trail mix that both served me well.
My own toiletries, shower flip flops, and my ugg slippers.
Yes, this. It was actually the most useful thing I brought. I couldn't get out of bed for a bit (c section) and I could keep my phone on the table next to me with the extension cord.
This is still fresh in my mind! I wish I had brought Chapstick and a nursing tank. Even though I struggled with breastfeeding it would have been nice for the pumping. Only other thing I wish I'd had was my own towel. I brought a robe but my temp was all over the place and I ditched it within a few minutes.
