Toddler bedtime is the literal worst. I used to love putting C down but now I dread it. Everything is a stalling tactic. And then he cries when you finally leave him.
Tonight he was screaming over the monitor "I scary, Mommy!" Which I assumed meant he was scared. When I asked him what he was scared of, he looked around his room until he could find something and decided he was scared of his Minion bank. I put it in the closet and told him to go to sleep. #moty

I'm still mad at MILs comment at lunch. (XP from GP) She said it looked like I'd gained some weight and then held her stomach and laughed. I stared her down and replied "good, that's the goal".
Also, because of said lunch DD took a 20 min car nap instead of her usual 3 hr nap and has been so miserable all afternoon. Early bedtime!
I got pictures of DD at the wedding. She's wearing an Indian outfit MIL got her and somebody put her hair in pigtails with matching bows that I bought. Now she definitely looks like my kid. I almost wish I was there except I hate driving to Long Island so I'm OK with skipping this one since I have a legit reason.
Instead of indulging in goat cheese at purple pig for lunch I spent 3 hours on the tarmac at O'Hare today. OMG. I only had m&ms and craisins for a total on 9 hours. I AM SO ANNOYED.
I did just go to Sunda in Chicago and had AMAZING food finally. I would have eaten my foot. My hotel room is gorgeous and is gigantic and has a corner view and two bathrooms. I am back from eating, I have a little work to do, then my ass is getting in my huge soaking tub and relaxing after my hell day of travel.
The edge of one of DS's molars finally cut through. He's been working on them for two freaking months. I wish I could just hook him up to an IV drip of ibuprofen.
I had my car inspected today and it ended up costing me $400. Good thing I'm back at work and will start getting a paycheck again soon.

I think one of the UO this week was something about why you'd ever buy Babiators for your kid. Well, today I became an UO. On our car ride to nearby city, L was complaining about the sun in his eyes so I told him we'd get him a pair of sunglasses. I've been wanting him to wear some for ever but he's been resistant so I wanted to jump on this chance to get him in a pair.
These beauties were the only brand the store carried. I love them and he does too! UO be damned!
Came home to 5 packages, oops. And that doesn't even include all the LLR I bought and delayed shipping on this week.
J's super adorable school fleeces arrived this week! Uniform isn't required until K, but I couldn't resist. And I sized up so that they would fit next year/future kids too.
DS1 is playing club soccer this year. He looked so grown up and handsome I can hardly stand it. He was playing keeper and my nerves are definitely not made for it. He was fantastic, but I was a wreck anytime they got near.
DD (5) started today too. Within the first 4 minutes she had 3 goals. Coach had to hold her back to give the other team a chance. This happened more than once last year.

My oldest plays keeper a lot, and I am always such a wreck when he does. I can't stand it!
Tonight DD (3) said "I'm going to sleep through the night, so hopefully I can have really good dreams about my trash can." Ok, you do you kid.
Last night I was using a makeup remover wipe and I was thinking "wow, this is working a lot better than normal" then I thought "I don't remember them smelling like this". Then I realized they were CLOROX WIPES in my eyeball! Fortunately I'm not blind today.
BIL's wife also bought Octonauts DVDs that our PS3 can't handle for some weird reason. It keeps getting stuck at every commercial break and I have to fast forward. The future is terrible.

Tucking in the kids, then I need a shower. After like a month of not washing my hair is finally starting to look a little oily. I'm not sure of that is a confession or a bragplaint.
H is out and solo bedtime is not going well. Ds2 has a cold and won't go in his crib without screaming. I'm on attempt 3 to rock him. He's just staring at me omg.
Ds1 is watching tv. Maybe he will just fall asleep out there at this rate, or h will come home. So much for getting some free time. Argh.

You know you've hit a new level of awesomeness on a saturday night when you're debating whether you can get the baby to sleep in her nursery vs on you this evening..so you can make a Hamilton shirt.
My mom made the most delicious breakfast for us today, and FIL has been doing all sorts of house projects for us. I could get used to this! Too bad he flies home tomorrow.
My brother put on some country music at my parents' house this morning and "Devil Went Down to Georgia" came on. DS boogied his little heart out--he went absolutely crazy. It was so cute.
Also, if you like LLR and haven't hosted a popup for one of our many board consultants, do it! I got three free items from hosting one, and it was fun! And today I found paper airplane leggings and I love them.

Sunda is SO good, nice choice! Sorry you got stuck at O'Hare, that sucks.

I went two years ago and I am staying close by and it was the first thing I ran into when I went out desperately looking for food at 5pm. Hit the spot! Their food is amazing.
The ceiling in our living room is dripping water. Dammit. It's a leak in the AC; DH and his dad already tried to fix it 2 days ago. DH is out of town and worried about the ceiling caving in. I turned the AC up to like 82. Looks like I'm ignoring the covers tonight. Good thing E likes his room warm.

We had a successful party for DD today. She destroyed her smash cake and had a good time. One couple and their kids stayed way late after the party, which is fine, they are our good friends. But finally the wife got sick of trying to get the husband to leave (he and DH were outsode, swimming, drinking, etc.). So she just left with the kids and said he can get a Lyft or Uber home, lol. The guys wondered back inside 15 mins later and he was all shocked they left without him.
So now they guys decided if his wife is going to be mad anyway, he might as well stay and watch the UFC fights. More drinking.
And DH is getting confirmed by the Bishop at church tomorrow. We have to be there at 830am.
Luckily I can out the kids down soon. Tomorrow is going to be rough for DH. No sympathy, lol.

Whatever. My kid looks adorable in her UOs. As does yours.
Not to mention they also fit/stay on her when so many others do not.
