I'm not a huge fan of bangs. But I'm less of a fan of C's poker straight hair always in her face. She pulls out clips and bands unless I constantly remind her not to.
Tell me what to do, lol. The only answer is bangs, right?
Ugh. I was just growing out dds bangs hoping I could just let them fall to the side of her face. Her bangs are cute but take so much upkeep. And by that I mean I have to cut them horribly crooked every 4 weeks or so. She refuses clips too.
Mainly because I've had bangs my entire life, and I hate them so much. I'm seriously considering growing them out right now, but I don't think my face shape will look great without them.
I had the worst bangs for years so I promised I wouldn't do it to my kids, lol. I usually do little whale spouts or the top pulled back at least. I don't think they can pull out the tiny elastics I use. DD1 now likes headbands.

I disagree! I think you would look good with no bangs.

Thanks for the input. I'm wondering if I just can't picture it since I've had bangs for almost 33 years and it's all I know.
(I really just think it'll make my nose look huger than normal, but I'm admittedly very self conscious about it.)
also hermione if you don't already, I'd take C to your hairstylist, not one of the stupid kid places. We got some horrible cuts especially bang cuts from those places. My stylist does it perfect every time
No bangs. Of course my husband went and got her haircut with bangs over the summer while I was gone. But I usually put her hair up using little orthodontic elastics I took from my office. She keeps Them in all day. They are hard to remove.
yeah I can barely get DD to let me brush her hair each morning (using detangler has made it much easier). Convincing her to let me put elastics in her hair is a no go. They hurt going in and hurt coming out.
I am letting the rest of her hair grow out. We get it trimmed a half inch or so just to even it out every couple of months but she likes it long and I'm hoping she'll let me do pigtails/ponytails again at some point. Her BFF always has her hair up and I'm hoping she'll eventually want to emulate her since she is obsessed with her, lol
I think bangs are cute, and have had them much of my childhood and a few times as an adult. DH doesn't like bangs so we haven't cut DDs hair yet, and I do a top pony/whale spout since all her hair won't go up at once yet. I don't think you can go wrong, but I do prefer side bangs, or thick straight across. Too thin looks like a mistake and looks weird to me.
I asked C. I told her she either had to wear a clip or band at school or we needed to get a haircut. I showed her videos of a haircut and pictures of little girls with bangs. Her response was, "Oh, let's just do that. Daddy, I get to get a haircut!"
