Is it too early to talk about Halloween costumes?

Also you need to do your jewel bigger when you make your costume. Those jewels seem too small. I like the troll idea!

Our office Halloween party theme is the Grimm brothers' fairy tales. I have to figure out what I'm doing.

DD2 is going to wreck my plans. She would be the cutest cabbage patch kid, so I ordered the little wig/hat and she hates it. The little turd rips it off her head every time. And she's strong willed enough that there aren't enough bribes to get my way.

I am almost all ready for Halloween. My older one is being a baby (so easy) and my little one is being Bunga the honey badger. All I need is fur for Bunga's head

I've started asking my kids, so that I will have enough to time to put together and/or make costumes.

DD2 wants to be her imaginary dragon, Aqua. Who is mostly purple. Sooooo, we'll see how that goes and whether I can find and order acceptable pieces or if I end up making something.

I have no idea what DD1 wants to be. Last year she was Captain Underpants, and it was one of my favorite costumes ever.

For the past couple years we did family themes and H & I played along with the ones that we could get involved in. For example, one year DD was Snow White, DS was one of the 7Dwarfs, H was the prince and I was the witch. We did Flintstones too. Well it's my DS's turn to pick out the theme and since he's OBSESSED with Star Wars he wants to be Darth Vader. DD is going to be Princess Lea, H is going to be Hans Solo and guess what MOMMY IS GONNA BE? They want me to be fucking Chewbaca!! Seriously? Why do I always get the ugly costumes!??

My pokemon obsessed DS was Ash last year. Only a few people recognized who he was (he carried around a stuffed Pikachu)...I can imagine that this year, more people will know who Ash is.

This is especially inexplicable as Marshall is hands down his favorite.

Edit: oh boy. I know this will come off sounding pearl-clutchy, but I would not encourage my kid to dress up literally as shit and walk around the neighborhood.

Eh, that's alright. I didn't encourage him but I am going to allow it. To each their own! Clutch away.

Idk, I wanted to be ketchup and mustard one year, it was a no go. My friend bought me a red sash and is going to make make me a Zatarain's Queen sash. Lol. I guess I'll wear jeans and a dark shirt, get a crown and a septor. I don't even know if I have anywehre to go.

There is about a 1% chance I can get H into this! lol. We'll just do emoji shirts or something.

The only reason I don't have my Halloween stuff done is because I'm finishing up the ComicCon stuff. That and my kids finally came to the agreement that I will be Thor. The kids picked Black Widow and Captain America MONTHS ago. There was as disagreement over if I would be Thor or Falcon. I'm kind of thankful because I'm not sure I can build wings but I've got a kickass idea for a Mjolnir purse.

For SF ComicCon I'm Riddler and my daughter is Catwoman. Baby picked Batman despite my effort to convince him to be the Joker and H will be Nightwing.
