I really hate Amazon and hate their customer service, so just say plainly that you want compensation for the late shipping.
Most people have miraculous unicorn stories about how Amazon bought them a house after their new paperback showed up with a crease in the cover, but all I ever get is, "We're so sorry that happened. Have a nice day."
NO, JANICE WITH AMAZON CUSTOMER SERVICE. I WILL NOT HAVE A NICE DAY.
I complained earlier this year and had no results other than, oh well, sorry.
I'm getting ready to call now, we shall see what they say

Just keep pushing. Don't let them off. You pay for prime you should get compensation for it not showing. It's too expensive to let it go
I had that happen 2 weeks ago and the thing was only 1 day late. I got a free month of prime added and didn't even ask. I did it via email and was very polite. maybe that matters?
Complaining doesn't work because there is a script. I have found that nicely asking for what I want does though. I had a snafu with school shoes and through no fault of my own I had 4 pair (needed 2). They were nice and all but wanted me to ship back the extra pairs which was inconvenient - I kindly told them I had friends who needed the shoes and if I could keep them (kids wear the same size) and they were all "Oh well just keep them". I'd flat out ask for free Prime.
My dog's ramp for the bed is going to be an entire week late. The ended up just sending a new one because it must be lost. It's in their policy to give a month free each time a prime item is late.

This was our experience as well. H ordered black Tones and we got powder blue Tones. They were all "oops." They took forever to refund our money and then told him he would have to reorder what he wanted. They wouldn't even give next day air.
I ordered a tagging gun I need for my consignment sale. AFter the confirmation date, the shipment date changed. I emailed. AMazon refunded my money for ordering the tagging gun, added 30 days to my prime, and I got the the gun the next day. I was satisfied.

I have trouble getting my stuff in two days from Amazon because they usually send it that stupid SurePost where the post office gets it from UPS and delivers it. I've gotten a few things later than stated, but only one thing that I really needed and didn't get. They offered a free month of prime but I already had a subscription of prime on a different account so they offered $10 credit instead. We never received the original shipment, called back, got another credit I think? And then they shipped us the item again. That one was supposed to be overnight but wasn't.
I have been told if you ask them they can list you not to get surepost shipments, only straight UPS, but I haven't bothered doing that yet.

I hate them so much! I don't know who is getting this good customer service. One guy told me to file a police report for the items they lied about delivering, another one told me that Prime shipping is Free so too bad so sad he can't do anything for me. Talking to supervisors doesn't help either.

I've yet to have a Prime order arrive in under a week. Last time I inquired, an exasperated CS person told me that it's two days shipping AFTER the order is processed. So if the order isn't processed for a week, that's totally okay.
It's exactly why we won't be renewing. I'm still salty that a book I order via Prime took 6 weeks to ship. I should have cancelled, but it was the principle of the matter at that point.
There are times where something is Prime- but out of stock (or "requires x extra days"). It's not always easy to see. And then there are times where they just fuck up- we got a $200 bed for $60 when it shipped late and without a part. Amazon is truly awesome if you stand on top of them and demand that they make things right.
My husband ordered a Fitbit from Amazon and it said it was delivered at 9pm, but at 9:15 we didn't have it. I called and they shipped us a new one for our troubles. Original Fitbit arrived at 9:30

I live in the middle of no where and have had very few problems receiving prime packages right on time. And have also been pretty lucky the couple of times there was a problem and they gave me an extra month of prime.
Not helpful, I'm sorry! But just like the people shocked that some of us have gotten good customer service, I'm truly surprised to hear of people that HAVEN'T gotten good service.
I'm annoyed with them lately, too. I ordered some snacks for DD to take to school, potato chips and a bottle of tea tree oil (this was in a separate order) and it all came together. Huge box, unwrapped, and now all the food reeks of tea tree oil.
I've also had a hard time getting my prime shipments in two days. I remember talk of this (on here) a year ago but it hasn't effected me until now. I don't call and complain, if I did, I can guarantee you they'd give me $1 on my kindle book credits. I called over the years for different issues and they've always offered this.
We've never had trouble with Printer, night I have started making sure I look at the estimated delivery period. Sometimes they will still offer Prime even if it won't start ship ment for a few weeks.
I have had TERRIBLE experiences with Amazon customer service. It took over a month and 5 phone calls before they would refund me gift cards that got stolen from my account. In the end, the person just processed a fake return of an item that was close to the amount I had stolen and called it a day, because no one could figure out why I hadn't been refunded my money.

Amazon actually just really pissed me off for the first time ever. My last subscribe and save shipment leaked an entire bottle of floor cleaner in the box, ruined the box, and all of the stuff was covered in slimey cleaner. It was also mostly vitamins and beauty stuff in there so I wasn't trying to use it. Then the next day my mouthwash leaked everywhere.
First they made me send pix of the damage, which okay I guess is fine but kind of rubbed me the wrong way because I literally order thousands of dollars a year from them and this is the second and third time I have complained about this issue. The first was two or three years ago on my first subscribe and save shipment which traumatized me enough (there was shampoo everywhere) that I didn't order liquids for a year or more.
Then I kept getting emails about how I didn't return my items and I was going to get charged. I am like WTF I threw all that shit out. After three times customer service assures me it is resolved and I won't be charged. I was charged yesterday and today for the fucking items. They refunded me the money but it was after I had to go through customer service twice in two days.
They haven't given me shit and I am honestly thinking about cancelling my entire subscribe and save because of it. My kid is out of diapers (thank you God) and I just don't want to have to deal with this again.
I had a horrible time when our 4 month old dyson broke. I finally had to basically say "either you refund me and send me a label to return or I'm disputing with my cc." They finally issued the refund and a label.
Two days isn't 3 Amazon. If I order something Monday it should be here Wednesday, not Thursday!

After my last refund I got a follow up auto email from that asked me why I've returned so many items. The chat employees have been refunding the purchases when they don't get to me by their guaranteed 2 day shipping. It is annoying that they aren't fast anymore. They used to be spot on.
