Anything extra fun on tap? We're back to work this past week and I've been so exhausted every day after school. And at daycare pickup yesterday DS crawled to me, which was the first time he's crawled (for me at least, I'm pretending he didn't do it before then so I can say I saw it first. Lol). The time really does fly.
So I forsee a weekend of attempting to relax and having to chase after a baby. I also think we're going to need to do some babyproofing.
Please tell me that you have more exciting plans than I do.

Hooray for crawling! How old is he now? As for the bolded, just know that the little shits loves will always find one more thing that you didn't realize they could get into. We spent about $200 on baby gates this summer because my son is walking and getting into everything. Like the fireplace. And climbing the tv stand. Oh, and I highly recommend the outlet covers that slide over, instead of the plugs. It took Ben approximately 2.2 seconds to figure out how to get the plugs out once he noticed them. Godspeed!
I had yesterday off, so it's a four-day weekend here. We ran some errands in the morning, and then I managed to watch almost all of a movie while Ben napped and my husband mowed the lawn. It was amazing. I forgot how nice it is to just curl up on the couch and relax - I'm always trying to cram a million things in while he naps. Of course, he decided to sleep for an hour and a half instead of his usual 3 hours, so I had to watch it in two parts. But still! A movie! So novel, ha.
No other plans here - I'm getting a pedicure this afternoon, and we'll probably mostly just hang out the rest of the weekend. I hope others are having a more exciting weekend, ha.
My weekend wasn't terribly exciting. I took advantage of the glorious weather and got in about 15 miles of running, and the rest was spent mostly in slothful gluttony. DH and I did win pub trivia Sunday night, which is always fun since the one we go to is in Harvard Sq and is full of groups of Harvard and MIT nerds.
Last weekend before school started, after a ridiculously busy work week, did not equal a ton of relaxation.
Saturday we went to an event with DH. DD and I tried thrown weapons, and had so much fun! Yes, a 6yo was allowed to fling axes and knives at a log. I did something to my shoulder in the process, it occasionally fires off a nice shot of pain. Good times.
Sunday we went to Salem. We hauled MIL all over town, she was exhausted by the time we got home. DD was in a much better mood than she had been (last week was--challenging) and we saw some really cool stuff. I also got the rest of my proofs from the photographer, and they're amazing. The grandparents are in the process of picking out their favorites, LOL.
Monday we were going to go to King Richard's Faire, but with the impending weather and our Salem trip, we decided to stay close to home. I sneaked in a massage while DD got a new fish and fish tank for her room. We spent the evening getting her clothes and backpack set up for the first day of school!
