If you are familiar with Tarte eyeshadows

Have their formulations changed much?

I have the holiday sets from 2013 and 2014 and while the colors are pretty in the pan, they wind up being a big old muddy mess on my lids, so I've kind of skipped over their shadows since then. They have some gorgeous looking palettes out now that I'm drawn to, but I don't want to pick them up and wind up frustrated with the muddiness if their formulations haven't changed.

I'm not that impressed with their shadows. I have the Energy Noir palette which I like but they can be tough to blend out. All their pallettes look pretty much the same too.

Tarte eyeshadows are a hit or miss. I have energy noir and another LE palette and they're fine. I don't have a blending issue with energy noir.

I think the rainforest of the sea palette felt very different for them. I don't know if their formulation has changed permanently, but that one was definitely different

I find that their holiday sets tend to be of poorer quality than their permanent palettes (rainforest, tartelette, etc).
