Winds up to 100 mph. This kind of weather is more typical in early October when the trees are starting to lose their leaves, plus the ground is starting to freeze. But since this is early September where barely any of the trees are turning yellow and the ground is really wet, trees were knocked over like matchsticks.
Some people are STILL WITHOUT POWER!!! Probably through this weekend. And one of our major cable companies is also unoperational.
Thankfully I did not lose any trees. I didn't sleep a wink Tuesday night because I was terrified that one of my beautiful trees would land on my house. My house is up for sale, and with the flooding I had in May, I'm nervous as a cat that something else would happen to it.
