I grew up skiing and started snowboarding when I was 18. Last time I went I sprained my ankle getting off the chairlift, (too many beers) I haven't gone back since but keep telling my friends that in my 'new single life' I'm going to start up again. Yay!! (I'm in SLC, btw, awesome snowboarding here!)

ermahgerd I would love to ride out there!!
thank god I have never hurt myself snowboarding while drunk. Only when sober. And never too bad.
Seriously, go start up again. That was my scenario, I hadn't been up for like four years and now, well, I'm hopelessly addicted haha. It's one of the MANY reasons my life is so much better post-divorce!!
I want to learn....but now I'm afraid I'm old and unathletic (I sprained my foot last weekend and messed up my shoulder in boot camp the week before).
Just try it! You won't really hurt yourself unless you try crazy shit that's too advanced for your skill level. In the beginning you'll have a sore butt from falling but once you get the hang of it you're golden.

It was on my winter bucket list, but we didn't have enough snow last year....this year, it's on!!

GOOD! just make sure and don't put your hands down when you fall. You want to land on your butt, not your wrists.

lmfao....when I break both wrists and have to type with my toes, I'll send you a strongly worded email regarding your encouragement of these crazy activities

Well, you have a free place to stay anytime you want to come
I've always wanted to try. And there is a ski resort where I live. Not enough snow last year though. Warmest winter in MN and I have to admit I loved it.
I do and loove it. Unfortunately last year a beginner on a blue took me out and broke my tailbone so I was out almost all season. Blah!!! Can't wait for the season to start again!
