This should surprise no one. Of course they're letting the white guy get away with more.
I'm glad the 49ers released him. There are too many cases where that doesn't happen and it feeds this sense of invincibility that players seem to have. Shame on the fans who spoke out against Kaepernick and not this.

What a vile human being. And how disgusting that people who spoke out against a black man choosing a non violent protest are completely silent on a white man committing multiple acts of extreme violence.

Livingston and Erika V. Hall found that, despite black players making up 65% of the NFL in 2010-11, they received 91% of the unsportsmanlike conduct penalties called after touchdowns that year. “Minorities are expected to do their jobs quietly, without making a fuss” says Livingston.
I was wondering about this while I was watching the game and reading the messiness on MMM. Thanks for posting the article.
So the fact that Miller beat up two innocent people must be okay, because he stands up for the national anthem. Good to know.
At least the 49ers got rid of him, I guess.
Of course, I have to wonder if they'd have kept him if he could legit help them win, and how they'd spin it. I don't think waiving him made much of an impact on the team overall.

Probably. But at least now they can be all "look at us! We are not okay with our current players assaulting innocent people and we show our displeasure by kicking them to the curb! We're not part of what's wrong with the NFL!"
All of it over a freaking SANDWICH !!! that he could have easily purchased
Niners swiftly took care of that and released him. I hope NO ONE picks him up.
My bet is that this is one reason there is no conservative outrage. I can't guarantee that if the Niners kept him anyone would object a la Kaepernick, but I'd like to think there would be some measure of outrage even from those who seem to value arbitrary displays of patriotism above all. My bet is those who villainize Kaep would say "well the Niners took care of it, so 'sall good."

I went and found a different link to post on FB and ended up with ESPN. I read through it again and noticed that the excluded mentioning any of his previous charges (the spousal battery AND a vandalism charge) and talked all about his skills as a football player.

I mentioned the omission in my post and linked the ESPN post from LAST year about the prior arrest.

Well, Twitter idiots were not silent on the topic the day he got dropped. There was a lot of nonsense that flew through my stream about why would they release Miller but keep Kap. Including one that said (paraphrasing b/c I can't find it): They released Miller who only disrespected one person, but kept Kapernick who disrespected an entire nation.

Meanwhile a 19 year old kid in Raleigh was murdered by a racist for walking down the street and the news reported that the victim had a charge from when he was 15 for shoplifting.
