Hmm, I haven't looked yet, but there was something the other day I needed that wasn't at ulta, and I get a birthday gift this month so I'll likely order something.
I went this morning, too. I'm actually out of town apartment hunting and then going to Hawaii this afternoon, so I didn't want to buy too much. I'm going to order a couple things I need before the points end. The bag is actually pretty good and it had a couple things I can use the rest of my trip.
The bag stuff is on the left and my purchased stuff is on the right.
Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime. Mark Twain
I'm just going to wait for the November sale. Sephora points just don't get me that excited any more. I'm also not overly interested in the sample bag or any of the other promos they have going on right now. I just haven't been feeling Sephora lately.
Yeah, Sephora points are definitely not all that great. The new Rewards Bizarre program seems like a small improvement, but it's still not Ulta.
That said, I like keeping a healthy points balance, and I've used them to try a lot of things I would never have bought. It's definitely worth it to me to pay full price for a few items right now to collect 500 points or so, though I completely get why people would make a different calculation.
Also I realized i just made Rouge for 2017. Not that it means anything other than to remind me how much I've spent on Bite lipstick, Fresh, Bumble & Bumble, and Josie Maran this year.
I went and got a Bite lipstick, the Kat Von D Chimp lipstick and the new Hourglass foundation stick. The sample bag is okay.
How do you like the Hourglass foundation stick? I've been using the Armani Luminous Silk foundation and I LOVE it, but I'm a sucker for everything Hourglass.
2x points beauty insider, 3x VIB, 4x rouge. Free sample bag with code MYSURPRISE
what's everyone buying? I will probably get the Sunday Riley good genes/Luna oil set.
New here!
I've been using the Good Genes/Luna combo for about 3 weeks now and I LOVE it. Hope you do too.
I just ordered another Sunday Riley Ceramic Clay Cleanser (holy grail status for me), a Marc Jacobs lipstick in Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, and the tarte Pretty Paintbox. I'm hoping for another Living Proof 500 points perk before we take our vacation in December - they're perfect for traveling.
Does this mean 20% off is right around the corner ?!!!
I think that's in November. It always seems to hit right about the point that my makeup money gets diverted into the Santa fund so I have to think long and hard about what I'm getting.
I've kind of hit peak makeup (I KNOW, it's depressing) so I think I'm just going to get a small container of the Belif Aqua Bomb to tide me over until the 20% off sale.
Ordering nothing. Points meam zip to me at Sephora. I don't need anything specific that I can't eventually get at Ulta. Which I am 100 points away from having $125 to cash in on product.

Since I've seen the light that is ulta, Sephora points do nothing for me. I'll shop their 20% off sale and stock up on stuff I can't get at ulta though:-)

I use Luminous Silk foundation and love it as well. I tried the Hourglass foundation stick and was impressed. For me it's a fuller coverage than Armani, but I really liked it.

No joke. I spent around $100 at Sephora this year.

I've spent a bit more but not much. But I'll stock up on brands ulta doesn't carry once they have the 20% sale.
I caved and ordered the KVD Chimp lipstick, which I didn't know was a thing until capscapscaps mentioned it.
I'm sure that I'll love it, since I love most of her lipsticks, and that line has become my "go-to" when I need new shades that have amazing staying power, since I abandoned JS's racist drama llama-ass.
I'm trying to hold out for the BI/VIB sale next month to re-stock my Dr Jart, but I'm basically scraping the bottle as it is...

Ok, so two days of wearing it and it's....okay. For the price, I expect it to be much better. I feel like it separates a little by the end of the day.
That's disappointing for Hourglass. Thanks for the update! Save
