Good morning! I am feeding Amelia and then hopefully going back to sleep. I was really anxious about this trip because it's so much time with my in laws but this house is huge and we all have our own space. And my BIL and his family don't get here until Wednesday. But then it will be 6 adults, a 4 year old, 2 year old and 9 month old...and a dog, in 1 house.

I've been up since 3:00. I suck at falling back asleep when something wakes me up.
Also, weird pee question. I've always thought that either asparagus makes your pee stink or it doesn't. It's my favorite vegetable and I've eaten it all my life with no smelly effects. I had it last night and my pee reeks this morning. Can that change as you get older? I don't want stinky pee!

This happened to me! I could never smell it and now I can. It sucks. I want to go back!
Ugh. I was up pretty much once an hour last night between needing to pump, R wanting to eat twice and them needing to be resettled twice and W up with a coughing attack another time. Meanwhile, mh is passed out cold and snoring next to me through all of this as he went to a festival at a brewery yesterday.
My H's surprise party was last night. Everything was amazing and I still can't believe we pulled it off. My kids even slept until 5:45, which is an hour later than normal- giving us a whopping 4hrs sleep. My head is pounding, I'm fairly certain my H is actually still drunk, and we have to entertain my ILs today (surprise, H!), but I'm just so grateful for the incredible friends and family who made it happen. Now off to nurse the first real hangover I've had in 5 years. 😂
Man I slept so horrible last night and then A woke up at 5:30. I can't shut my brain off, we saw such an awesome house yesterday, and we need to decide if we're going to get it like today. It's new construction so wouldn't be ready until April, which is good. Everything about it is so perfect except my husband's commute would still be ~25 minutes, which is longer than we want. Ugh decisions! It's also less than a block from my sister and BIL, and they told us it's okay but what if they really don't want us so close?
So, last night was interesting. About 7pm I was doing laundry. Put on a warm wash, took some stuff upstairs, cut on the whole house fan, and went into the tv room to watch football with H. Opened the window next to the couch and immediately I get this overwhelming smell of gas.
I go outside and try to locate the smell, but it's coming from inside the house. DH was insisting it wasn't that bad, but I'm freaked and we call the utility company anyway, even though he thought I was nuts. We evacuate to the back yard and dude shows up about 45 minutes later.
Turns out I didn't notice the kitchen window was closed when I cut on the fan (DH had shut it earlier), so there was nothing open in the house that the fan could draw from. It started pulling air from the only place it could, which was the furnace room via the air ducts. The pull was so strong, it blew out the light in the gas water heater, which was on because of the warm water wash I was running at the time. With no flame, the gas ran for 10 seconds before the emergency shutoff was triggered, which meant the fan pulled 10 seconds of gas through the vents and all through the house.
SO, I'm not going crazy, I did smell gas, but there was no leak and our house isn't in danger of exploding. Best possible outcome? Oh, and we got Chipotle for dinner because by the time we were given the all clear it was to late to grill anything. Win.

We have had the most craptastic past week in our house. It all started last Sunday when I hurt my back at a trampoline place. Horrible muscle spasms where I couldn't even move. After some muscle relaxers and lots of rest I was able to painfully crawl from bed and make it to work on Tuesday.
But on Monday Sarah got sick. So H stayed home with her Tuesday because I was useless for helping.
Thursday Tyler wasn't feeling great, but he didn't have a fever and he woke up fine Friday so we sent him to school. He woke up with the stomach bug yesterday.
So we are on quarantine this weekend waiting to see who gets the stomach bug next.

I was grocery shopping this morning in a very large grocery store. At 8:46 they made an announcement for a moment of silence. Every person in the store stopped. The cash registers stopped ringing. It was absolutely silent.
Busted in the checkout lane at target....threw a snickers on the belt cuz it sounded good. Cashier asks if I want it in my purse or in the bags. In my purse of course!

Also my moms yorkie was attacked at a dog park and his eye was injured. Luckily my parents live near a major animal hospital and he was able to be treated and is doing ok. Poor little Joey.

Fwp: I was up pacing the halls with R last night for close to an hour. I didn't have my phone on me cuz I was in pjs so I didn't get credit for all those steps on my step tracking app!
I was so excited to see Amelia's reaction to seeing the ocean for the first time...she was not impressed. She didn't cry unless the water touched her but she was not impressed with it at all lol
I was up early this morning for my 10 mile run. The weather was nice and it gave me a lot of time to reflect on the fact that today is 9/11 and also on all the goings on in the MMM threads. I need to be and do so much better.

Nothing like waiting an hour with 2 kids for your ride home from the airport bc your Fil got lost. Neither kids have napped yet either I need food and wine!
DH left last night for his business trip and will be gone until Saturday. Even though X and G both woke me up multiple times last night, we still managed to make it to church on time and to swimming. Now both kids are napping in the car in the garage. I really want ice cream but doubt I can eat it before one or both wake up so I'll enjoy sitting for a bit.

Oops. Parent fail. We just realized that Andrew is having his first bath/shower since Wednesday. Eww. He is a sweaty kid, and it's hot here. That's just not excusable. But Thursday night, we were at school late for meetings, so it wasn't possible when we got home. Friday night, we were just up late having fun and forgot. Saturday night, we had a sitter and forgot to tell her to do it. He stinks. Bad.
