We almost had a very serious injury at work this morning. This end cap was full of giant bags of charcoal and the entire end cap unit (peg board and all) came crashing down.
The opposite wall behind it has back to school binders and folders and what not. A mom was shopping with her two year old and she was looking at binders a little further down than where she left her cart with her kid in it. See the cart in the photo, that's where the kid was and the mom was where all the nail polish is on the floor. So when the end cap came crashing down the mom and child were separated and the child was obviously terrified and crying so loud. I just can't get over the what ifs. If she had left her cart at the end of the end cap this could have been a much worse outcome. I can still hear that little boy crying.

That is horrifying! I am guilty of walking away from the cart, especially if DS1 is there.
I feel for that poor mama and baby. Take care of yourself, lauranicole91. I would be shaken too if I had watched that happen!
What's unique about this situation is that if she HAD had the cart/child closer, it would have been in the path of the fallen shelf! I'm seriously going to just avoid ever parking my cart at the end of an end cap now basically. Scarred for life.
