I don't post very often, but I'm needing some recommendations and I know there are a lot of dog lovers on this board.
My dog was at the vet earlier and she told us that his grain free diet is not doing him any favors, so we need to get him back on a grain inclusive diet. He's a senior dog who has developed some sensitive stomach issues over the past several moths and our vet believes that adding grain back into his diet will be beneficial (he started eating grain free several years ago due to skin allergies). He's been eating Wellness Core grain free food previously.
Thanks for your help and if I did it right, here's a picture of my sweet Riley! (sorry if it's huge)...
We use Science Diet I/D it's for sensitive stomachs and is low fat. You need to get an initial "prescription" from your vet but after that I just order it from Chewy.com. It's about $55 for a 17 lb bag.
Hello sweet boy! We actually had to switch to a prescription food because our dog has IBD and the Wellness Core was making him really sick. He's on Iams Intestinal Plus now, both canned and dry, and it helped so, so much. I felt like a terrible dog mom because I'd been feeding him this really good food and it turns out it made him sick.
That's not to say that your guy has IBD. We also had to do an ultrasound and bloodwork, and he'd lost nearly a fifth of his body weight and was considered a "failure to thrive."

Cute puppy! We feed PetSmart's Authority Sr Large Breed and our boy has been just fine with it. Greyhounds have notoriously sensative tummies and he rarely has gas, soft poops, or other issues.
We feed Natures Instinct (or Natural instinct?) it's a simple ingredient diet because we suspect a food allergy but haven't been able to narrow it down.
We're actually avoiding chicken as a protein vs grains.
We used to feed Acana and Timberwolf and were happy with both
after much trial and error and dealing with some allergies - One gets 4Health Salmon & Potato The others get Kirkland Lamb & Rice or Diamond Naturals Lamb & Rice varies by which store I'm closer to when I need food.

We also do 4Health from Tractor Supply for our dogs. It was recommended to us by our regular vet, neurologist and nutritionist - we have a seizure dog so lots of opinions (and $$$.) Neither specialist was big on the grain-free foods. We have both dogs on it and they are doing well. Bonus - the price is really good!
Thank you so much for all the recommendations, looks like I have some research to do, but this has narrowed things down a lot.
Just as an FYI, I also order my pup's food from chewy and had received his newest shipment of his old food this morning. To rave about their customer service, I contacted them and they offered me a refund and told me to please donate the food to a local rescue or shelter. I thought that was pretty awesome
Awe. I love Chewy.com. I do not have a recommendation except to say to try and find a brown rice grain instead of corn. My friend had the same issue with her senior dog and just switched to the grain version of their regular food. I think it was Fromm or something similar.
That's awesome that Chewy did that for you! (and for whatever shelter you donate it to!) We use Avoderm brown rice and chicken. one dog has a sensitive stomach and one has sensitive skin - and the avoderm has been great for both of them. Their coats are super soft and shiny.

We feed our dog (and our cats) 4Health from Tractor Supply. We've been very happy with it so far and the price is right. My parents feed their dog Chicken Soup for the Soul.
