We're almost there. Thank God. Tomorrow is going to suck (it's the one-year anniversary of dad's death). I have plans to eat ALL the things, drink a lot, and then sleep in on Saturday. Also, I got rear-ended on Tuesday (good times), so now my week is full of obtaining estimates and coordinating with the dude who hit me to get the repairs paid for. Poor Bessie (my car), she didn't deserve this. Also, I finally figured out why I was having trouble with staying awake and feeling lousy at work, and it's because I was taking my metabolism meds in the morning - low blood sugar will do that for you. But what I *don't* know is how to remember to take them at night (which is why I switched to mornings). Any ideas??
Can you set a reminder/alarm on your phone to go off nightly? My DH set one for his evening meds and it works.
I can't keep up with everything that needs to be done around here. It's my own fault because I'm trying to do too much at once. I have a dining room chandelier to hang, a ceiling fan for the boys' room to hang, I'm painting the kitchen and that's in addition to trying to keep the house clean. BLEH. Lesson learned. One project at a time from here on out. LOL.
I'm so over school...only 12 weeks to go, only 12 weeks to go... Also, I need an architect or interior designer to review my resume and cover letter for an assignment because I'm in a beebee class and have to pretend I've never used a resume before. bunnymendelbaum, can you help a munkii out?
I'm going to Chicago tomorrow to look at the Knoll showroom at the merch mart and participate in a lunch and learn. I'm looking forward to it because it was so crowded the last time I was there, I could hardly check anything out.
After that, a bunch of us are going to hang out and build models for another class.

munkii, - of course! I'll pm you my email. Or actually, just send it to nikki at pushdetroit.com
I'm jealous of the merch mart trip!
My random - our realtor is building a small development on his property. He called me today for code advice and I ended up picking his brain about the construction loan. He said he got a loan without putting anything down (because of land value) and thinks we could do the same if we want to build on our lot! Also, his development includes a wine bar! Now that is evil genius parenting!
mrs.jacinthe, I have to take a med at the same time every day and I have an alarm set on my phone for 8pm, since I'm almost always home at that time but not yet in bed.
My only random today is that I've been battling a cold for 3 days and only remembered this morning that I can take Afrin while breastfeeding. I remembered that I couldn't take decongestant since it messes with supply, but I can use the sprays! So I went out and bought some at lunch (despite having some at home) so I'm much less miserable now. Yay. Now if only coworkers would do their jobs so I don't have to clean up their mess, that would be great.

After being on a wait list for 2 months, our yard work finally started last Friday. While they only starting clear out the yard (trees, weeds, etc.) I almost didn't recognize my yard! Monday rolled around...no crew. Tuesday, no crew. We've had a bad experience with a no call/no show contractor previously, so I emailed the project coordinator and texted the project manager sort of saying "Oh hey! Hope you guys are still planning to come this week as we're ready to get things moving before the rain starts! Let us know if we're holding anything up (we need to pick out plants at the nursery still) Turns out the head crew guy's wife had a baby on Monday. Hence the no show!! I felt awful and feel even worse he's back at work today. I think I'm going to pick up a little something for them or the baby. I don't know them at all, but hey overprivileged person who complains her yard isn't being worked on when he had 2 days home with his new baby and wife.
On that note, I'm excited to see our yard work completed in the next week or so!!

I would put your bottle of meds next to your toothbrush, to remind you to take them before bed. Or if you need to take them with food/dinner, maybe put them in the kitchen next to your dishes.
