Based on my experience losing 65+lbs over the last year, you'll have weeks where you lose 1.5 and weeks where you lose nothing. Enjoy the 1.5 weeks and congrats on the lifestyle changes!!
I feel like I am losing at a faster pace, in comparison to what I've lost in the past. Is this normal? Or did I catch a tapeworm and need to go to the dr? LOL.
Ohhhh. lol @ me. No, I think it's normal. You're making huge changes. Your body is like WHOA NELLY WHAT'S HAPPENING. Enjoy it.

keep at it, I feel like weight loss is a lot of spikes and plateaus which often doesn't make sense to what you ate or did the past week. Take the success and keep going
You were also in a foreign country and not on your regular eating routine and likely more active throughout the day. Adding to that the stress and pain of a loss. 1.5 lbs. wouldn't concern me unless it was every week.
I have lost 32 lbs since the spring. some weeks I lost very little and some I even stayed the same or up a bit.
I decided to stop weighing myself on Labor day. This past Saturday I weighed myself because I felt thinner and had lost about another 6lbs in a few weeks. I think bc no drinking etc.
I would say if you can don't weigh yourself so much. sometimes you have to go by how you feel.

I had this same issue last year when I was working really hard at losing weight. I think I was just surprised it was actually working? lol. But that sounds like a very healthy rate of loss and definitely not outside of what I would expect given what you've been doing. good job!
I am working on losing weight and I am similar. I have more to lose but I will find that some weeks I lose a lot 4-5lbs and others I don't even squeak in a full pound. I don't pretend to understand my body but I think as long as you aren't losing large quantities of weight for many weeks you shouldn't be worried about it.

Good job!! Your body is probably just responding really well to what you are doing!! So awesome you found something that works
This Happened with me when I started low carb. I lost 14lb in the first 2.5 weeks and 25lb total over about 9weeks (I think, I don't remember exactly) I've always had trouble losing weight but I've discovered my body really hates sugar!! Other things improved too- mainly migraines and yeast infections.

I've lost about 85 lbs. in the past 1.5 years. I do work out regularly - started with 6 days/week but now more like 3-4 - but I have shifted my workouts more toward strength training, which seems to have kicked my weight loss into higher gear. It also makes my body look smaller than others my weight People seriously think I weigh about 30 lbs less than I do.
But the big difference for me has been my diet. High protein and fat, low carbs and sugar. And smaller portions. All the gym time in the world wouldn't have worked for my weight loss without a real, consistent change to my eating.
