Summer Island by K. Hannah, I read her Nightingale and Winter Garden which I liked, too.
I'm trying to read Don't Sing at the Table: Lessons I Learned from My Grandmothers. I wouldn't recommend it.
I would pick Spring, Summer is too hot, Winter is too cold, and Autumn even with the pretty fall colors is depressing since it equates with things dying
I have read a lot by Kristin Hannah, but not this one! I love her books
I'm reading The Fires of Heaven (book 5 of Wheel of Time) and just finished listening to End of Watch by Stephen King, which I thought was great.
I love seasons and it's hard to pick one! I love the rotation through them. Winter is amazing for skiing, spring for increasing daylight and flowers, summer because it's my slower season at work and lots of daylight, and fall because it brings a relief to summer heat!
Listening to The Graveyard Book in my car. I learned recently that Neil Gaiman narrates all his audio books. He's really good, just a little soft-spoken, not sure if that's for the story or just the way he is.
Picked up The Time Traveler's Wife on audio book to listen to while I garden. So far I like the Claire narrations, but Henry annoys me. Is he supposed to?
Finished:
Desert Hunt (Wolves of Twin Moon Ranch) The Prequel, a kindle PNR freebie. Decently written, but still an insta-mate shifter story and they both looked perfect, blah blah blah. The female character was different from the other shifters, but still had to be saved a couple times. 3.5 for me, still deciding whether to round up or down.
Abducting Abby (Dragon Lords of Valdier Book 1), a kindle PNR freebie. Dragon shifter aliens with symbiotic metal lifeforms. Sounds funny, but was a solid 4. I wanted to give more because I liked the characters, but there were a few things that got swept aside, like that whole abduction thing.
Winter's Heat (Titan Book 1), a kindle romance freebie. Special ops bad boy hero with a cardigan wearing psychologist damsel in distress thrown in the mess. Maybe a 3, for all the tears I shed at the end. But seriously, I kept deducting points for the stupid instant/constant sexual attraction details. Total ohmygod, I can't think, how am I gonna keep it in my pants and drive this truck?
Releasing Rage (Cyborg Sizzle Book 1), a sci-fi romance freebie. Needed trigger warnings, lots of gore and a really bad rape incident occurs, though is not detailed as it happens. Totally not something the general public would or should read. However, I gave it a 5. You can PM if you want more info, but I don't think it needs to be typed out here. Lots of the reviews were either 1 or 5, so beware.
P.S. QOTW, I love spring! I garden, and spring is the absolute best season. So amazing and green and alive. After that, I like fall with the cooler weather and changing leaves.

Fairy tales do not tell children the dragons exist. Children already know that dragons exist. Fairy tales tell children the dragons can be killed. - G. K. Chesterton
Hi, I don't go here (I'm mainly CEP with a dash of ML) but I'm jumping on in.
Right now I'm on a major YA/speculative/Fantasy kick. I just finished V.E.Schwab/Victoria Schwab's This Savage Song and A Darker Shade of Magic and I now have a giant book crush on her.
I'm simultaneously reading Daughter of Smoke and Bone and Red Queen, which are both also good.
Seasons- I love early spring when it's just a bit cool still, and early fall when it's still fairly warm. Give me beautiful flora and blue skies any day.
