I'm home drinking, doing laundry, and watching tv. I have to work OT tomorrow so it won't be too late of a night. Then I'm borrowing my parents SUV to make w trip to the dump Saturday afternoon or Sunday. I'm looking forward to getting rid of some junk!
I'm drinking too. Aldi Malbec. It's yummy and only $4.79 Clownfish looks good on you! I hope everyone stays safe. I'd do a nice shade of cream, on the yellow side. You can easily accent with blues, greens, reds, but the butter will be neutral, bring light to the room, and give a natural glow with the dark wood.
I'm trying to keep my cat from being too affectionate. He's in my lap, draped over one arm making typing difficult, but possible. With his personality, I consider that a win. He's usually much more aggressive in his quest for adoration. I'd actually like to get some tonight, but H is all caught up in his coding and I don't think it'll happen. My new company offers 16 weeks paid child care leave at 100% effective at hire. Like I could have been pg and gone into labor day 2 of the job and qualified. I'm not sure what kind of crush you call that, but I have a crush on my employer. And on my coworker who I just found out was key in creating that policy.

Just turned in my awful recording of myself speaking (?) Spanish for the week and I'm ready for a nice, big glass of rosé. BF came for supper and left to go camping/fishing for the night so I have the bed all to myself. It's a lovely prospect.
ETA: I am trolling real estate sites for a house for the BF to buy. It's depressing because what he wants to spend in his town will buy him a crappy little house that should be a student rental, or he can come here and get a nice little house for the same money. But if he comes here, why would he want a separate house? le sigh.

I'm growing older but not up. My metabolic rate is pleasantly stuck, let the winds of time blow over my head. I'd rather die while I'm living than live while I'm dead.

My H wants to know what the malbec was so that he can look for it later.
I agree, clownfish does look good on Mrs J
There is no 'nice cream'. ;p I'm sure there is a nice cream, but yellowy cream just looks like every rental we lived in during the 70s and 80s to me, and it seemed dated then...and not in the cool vintage way. I like color or non yellow neutrals, but that's just me.

Los Andicos. Not thrilling, but decent enough for wind down after work wine.

The problem is that it's currently a yellowish cream.
I'm not afraid of color, and other than a horrifyingly ugly gas stove in the corner in forest green, the room is a blank slate. Let's think outside of neutrals.

The dark wood is beautiful! What room is it - a dining room?

We think it maybe was originally the kitchen? It's going to be the family/media room.

Tonight I'm doing the Sayanca Malbec. It's not as smooth, but it's okay. I'll take Cigar Box any day over this, but it'll do.
