Hi everyone! I am looking to change policies for DH for his car. Any MM recommendations? Who are you insured with? Are you happy? Any beware of stories?

We just switched to Geico. For slightly better coverage, we dropped our premium by $160 a month. Three cars, three drivers, and one of them is a teen. Haven't had to deal with a claim yet, of course, but their website is very user friendly.

We're with State Farm. I've been with them since I was 16, so it helps. When we rate shopped recently, they were considerably cheaper for us, so we've stayed.
I've had to deal with them for an accident I caused, one I was in, and we've used the roadside service more than once. Never had to use our homeowner's or renter's policies, but I've been very happy with dealing with the local agents. And we've moved every two years for the last 8 years and it's really easy to switch our policies between different states.
i really liked progressive. super cheap, good customer service. i didn't have to use their cs more than setting up the account so i can't speak about their response to claims.
We have Progressive and are very happy. I compared a lot of rates and they were the lowest by at least $50. We had an accident recently and I couldn't be more pleased with the service. Our rate went up like $5 a month after the accident.
We use State Farm. They're not the cheapest, but our homeowners, umbrella and jewelry insurance is with them, so we get a multi policy discount. They've helped us with a few tough homeowners claims, so I kind of feel loyal to them and love my agent. I also work in the insurance industry myself and am comfortable with the coverage they provide. We had Progressive before and I was happy with them, but ended up switching to State Farm in order to give them some more business for the help they gave us (they paid a big sewer back up claim 2 weeks after we bought our house). Rates will very drastically by insurance company and by state, though, so shop around.
