Well I could use a new bed, a new sectional & a dresser so I'd have no issue buying stuff. If I didn't need major stuff...maybe bedding, pillows/decor stuff?
Personally, I could use new window coverings, so I'd spend some of it there and maybe get a new chandelier for my dining room. I once spent a few hundred dollars there in pillows for my living room furniture and it was glorious lol. So I'd be open to that also.

LUUUUUUUUUUCKY!!!! My office and living room may as well be West Elm showrooms, LOL. It would have been awesome to win a gift card!
I don't have any of the furniture you mentioned (dining room set or bedroom furniture) but the furniture I have holds up very well!
I would definitely make sure to wait for a 20% off sale. A few times a year I think they also have a sale where if you spend $1,000+ you get 25% off. There's basically no escaping their delivery fees, so it's best to wait for a sale to somewhat lessen the overall cost there.

AWESOME! Personally, I'd probably buy bedding, and accent pieces/furniture. But my house is rather traditional.
re: the boxwoods posted above, Target has similar ones that I'm guessing are cheaper (just a PSA) -my God Ballard charges an arm and a leg for those things.

Can you use the gift card at Pottery Barn or Williams-Sonoma? They are all the same company and you can usually use the gift cards at any of their stores.

That is awesome! I would buy dressers, or some other beautiful storage piece. Real wood dressers that come pre-assembled function so much better and last longer that the cheap kind you have to build yourself.
Yes, I came in here to sell it. I bet you could get $1,800 selling a $2k GC. Maybe a little more.
We ended up with a ton of William's Sonoma GC's when we got married. Having already been living together for a few years in a house we jointly owned, we really didn't need much. My true wants were on my registry, so the GC's were "fluff". I sold every single one of those GC's and got around 90% of their value. Then we just tossed the money into the bank for whatever.
The idea of buying $2k in furniture right now "just because" makes me anxious. Maybe if we were in a new house or something. But our current home? Nope. I would rather mop the floors than deal with hauling out furniture and managing the delivery of new stuff right now.
If I had $1,800 in profits... I might get a house cleaner for a year. SaveSave

Yeah, I don't actually need furniture, which is the annoying thing.
H just said that one can now buy Sonos stuff at West Elm and he has been eye-ing doing that in our entire house. They also sell custom blinds and drapes and I have a beautiful room on the back of my house with windows across the entirety of two walls that need custom blinds. So I'm considering that as well.
I need to go back to the store. We only went once for the grand opening party which was actually totally fun! They had free cocktails, champagne and amazing apps plus a DJ.
