Lets start a questions thread!
-Do a need a sterilizer machine thingy for bottles? Or does the dishwasher work? -Do I need a nursing sports bra if I plan to work out later? Or just change as soon as you get home (my plan)

I think the only time I sterilized anything with my first was before the very first time I used it, and I never bothered after that. We did dishwasher or hand wash for everything.
I would say only if you plan on nursing mid-workout, lol. Otherwise I don't think they are necessary. Some of the Moving Comfort bras can actually be used as nursing bras, but I find them to be pretty stiff/difficult to maneuver so I never used mine in that way. The less supportive types of sports bras are easy enough just to stretch and move out of the way if you want to nurse in them.
I used the medela sterilizing bags, but really only sterilize something if it is brand new, then I just hand wash for there out.
I own a few nursing sports bras, but I prefer to wear sports bras around the house and tend to live in workout clothes all day. If you just wear them to workout, then no I think you could skip it.

I used the medela sterilizing bags. I used them before I used the bottles the first time, and then every so often I would run them through again. I also did pacifiers in the bags.
I didn't nurse, so I can't help with that question.
I'm 15w3d. I'm having some cramping this evening. Fwiw, I'm a teacher, so I'm on my feet a lot. Are these normal growing pains? Should I be/when should I become concerned?

Cramping is fairly normal. Scary, but normal. If you start bleeding, or if the cramping doesn't stop when you lay down and drink water, then it's time to be concerned. If you are concerned, call your doctor's nurses, that's what they are there for. Also, bring it up at your next doctor's appointment, they can help you, too.
sterl724- I've had a lot of cramping this pregnancy, it's sucked. I would just mention it to your OB at your next appointment. Or if the cramps get really bad or if you start bleeding I would call the OB right away.
awick14 thanks. I did call the nurse line after posting. The cramping got a little worse, then a little better. They asked a bunch of questions, but since all it seems to be is cramping at this point, (no bleeding or any other worrisome symptoms) they said it will likely pass and to call back if it gets worse, and to check in with the doctor tomorrow.

I only sterilized things before first use (in boiling water) and otherwise used the dishwasher or hand washed. I never had a nursing sports bra, I'd just pull up my bra to nurse if needed.

Are you drinking enough water? Cramping is often caused by dehydration. Since you are a teacher you may not be drinking as much trying to limit bathroom breaks! Just a thought!

I had a microwave sterilizer that I used about once a week for the bottles and pump parts. My daughter was hospitalized at 3 months with pneumonia so I was a little paranoid in the cleanliness arena for awhile.
-Do a need a sterilizer machine thingy for bottles? Or does the dishwasher work? No, you don't need a separate sterilizer. I use the Medela microwave bags for pump parts, and I don't sterilize bottles at all (just wash).
-Do I need a nursing sports bra if I plan to work out later? Or just change as soon as you get home (my plan) No. You'll need one that fits your nursing boobs (I've bought 3 to rotate), but it doesn't need to be nursing-friendly.

I drink about 80 ounces a day. I have a 25 ounce bottle that I refill at least twice at school, and typically drink water with dinner.

I liked having the munchkin sterilizer. I actually didn't buy it until T was about a month old. I used the bags and dishwasher initially, but then I was getting dish detergent clogging nipples. The sterilizer was super quick and held our days supply perfectly.

My question. When did everyone's first tri exhaustion let up? The nausea is letting up but I feel more tired now than I did a week ago! This is a problem as I fell asleep at 7:30 last night leaving my husband to tend to our toddler again for like the 5 th time this week!
annabear07- my exhaustion went away around 16-17 weeks, but unfortunately it returned around 22-23 weeks and it's still going strong.
When I was working all I did was work and sleep. :/ now I'm off work and I imagine I will spend the next 12 weeks, I'm 28 weeks, mainly sleeping and trying to be somewhat productive.
annabear07, my exhaustion let up around 14 weeks, and I had a lot of energy until about 32 weeks. Now I'm exhausted again, but not as bad as in 1st tri.

starryfish I've sterilized my pump parts and a couple bottles but I any plan to wash them with hot soapy water or the dishwasher going forward.
DH and I disagreed on this. He was adamant we needed to sterilize everything everyday. He said, "Don't you sterilize your baby calf bottles after each feed? It's the same." To which I replied, that, no, I wash them in very hot soapy water and air dry. Nipples get a sanitizer rinse after too. So my understanding is unless there's a immune system challenge (preemie, medical condition etc..) sterilizing is not necessary for human babies or cow babies lol.

annabear07 I'd say my exhaustion ended around 11-12 weeks, but i was also on progesterone so that coincided with weaning off of that. But it did return around 16 weeks, and hasn't really let up since. If I have an especially busy day, I'm just wiped by 6 pm.
What portable high chair would you recommend? We'll need something we can potentially bring to a campground but won't be too bad/bulky to use for general travel.

awick14scm1011cowgirlcutie Thanks! I guess I have a few more weeks ahead of me or not! I can't remember how long my fatigue lasted with my first as I was more sick so that is the prevailing memory! At least I'm not puling every day?!

Chicco Pocket Snack! Awesome and so portable. We ended up using it at home exclusively too.
STMs, did you wear anything special during delivery (or wish you had)? I'm starting to think about putting my hospital bag in order, and I'm not sure if I should have a special nightgown or something. I do plan on bringing nursing pajamas for after.

I had big plans for something to wear but so did not care when it came time! I did buy a big soft cheap robe at target to put on when I was pacing the floor during labor so my backside wasn't out. Other than that I had a pair slipper socks since it was the winter. No special birthing gown or anything. I didn't feel like paying too much for something that might get tarnished in the process if you know what I mean.

Nope, just wore the hospital gown and it was fine.

I just wore hospital gowns the entire time I was in the hospital. I did that at the suggestion of my cousin. I didn't want to get anything dirty that was mine and I was in bed most of the time so it really didn't matter.
Not that you asked - I just wore a pair of maternity yoga pants and a long sleeve maternity shirt to the hospital. I wore the same thing home and it worked great. Super comfortable.

Nope, wore the hospital gown. The day I went home is when I put on my clothes. Just make sure it's something comfortable!
