My question. When did everyone's first tri exhaustion let up? The nausea is letting up but I feel more tired now than I did a week ago! This is a problem as I fell asleep at 7:30 last night leaving my husband to tend to our toddler again for like the 5 th time this week!
I'm at the end of the first tri and it seems to be getting better, granted this is third pregnancy for me and had been completely different ones at that
Second+ time moms- DS1 will be transitioned to a full size bed around the time he turns 2. Do you buy a box spring and mattress or just a mattress for littles? If we get a box spring, we may have to put a little step for him to get into bed. He's almost 3'.
ETA The PBK bed frame we bought says for use with or without box spring.

We just have a mattress on DS's bed frame. I wouldn't bother with a box spring if the frame will support a mattress by itself.
STMs, did you wear anything special during delivery (or wish you had)? I'm starting to think about putting my hospital bag in order, and I'm not sure if I should have a special nightgown or something. I do plan on bringing nursing pajamas for after.
I had an amazing long sleeved nursing gown from Amazon. It was so nice to have long sleeves, I felt pretty for pics and visitors, but it was still easy access to everything.

I was on mag so I wasn't allowed to wear anything except a hospital gown until after it was discontinued. I did have some non-nursing nightgown that I was able to wear for one night that had short sleeves (I get hot easily) and a deep V neck so it was super easy to nurse in and very comfy.

I'd just wear the hospital gown. L&D can be messy, no sense ruining something nice. TMI but I threw up a lot during L&D and it got on my gown a fair amount

I think my answer depends on whether you anticipate laying in bed with him. I'd think the box spring would be more comfortable - also, does using the mattress w/o the box spring affect longevity.
We'd got DS in a queen size bed w/box spring. There's an edge around the bed he uses to step up, otherwise, he'd probably use his step stool (he loves using his step stool to reach things).

These are great questions. I think I'll ask them when we go shopping for a mattress.
Am I the only one who's big sibling is going to have a twin bed? I feel like I'm the minority in this amongst my friends! We live in a small town house and I'd much prefer her to have room to play than a larger bed! Just wondering!

No, you're far from the minority. I feel like I'm in the minority for getting a full size bed. My mom talked me into it so that I won't have to buy another bed when he's a teenager. I did wonder about space to play but I converted the dining room into a play room so he never plays in his room. He's also a tall boy with lots of family over 6' so it just made sense for us. In your situation I would definitely buy a twin though.
DS is in a full size bed - box spring plus mattress. We are using it because we already owned it. We don't have it on a bed frame right now so he can climb into it easily. MrsAggie
scm1011 I wouldn't plan on anything special during delivery. I am going to take some clothes for after though. I stayed in my hospital gown until the last morning when they let me get up and shower and being able to shower and put on my own clothes made me feel so much better. I'd like to try to do that earlier next time.

L&D was so much messier than I anticipated, so I'm glad I went with the standard issue hospital gown.
Definitely bring some slipper socks! I did change into a cute gown for visitors the next day.
And there will be lots of tending to your lady bits while in the hospital, so I'd go with a nursing nightgown vs pajama pants.
scm1011 I did the gown for labor and delivery then after I showered and did a nursing nightgown and robe and slippers and it was great. I wouldn't do anything special for delivery, but after get something really soft and comfy that you are comfortable in!

Not at all. We are getting DD the IKEA hemnes twin daybed which can expand to a king-ish bed. This was a good compromise for us since I do want more room for other furniture in her room, but since we don't have a dedicated guest room and we get overnight guests a decent amount, I like having options.
