I'm really excited. It's my bday month so 2x points at Ulta plus they have a 5x promo for my Hey Honey face serum this week so that should be at least 500 points. I should hopefully be at 2000 points by the end of the month. Now I'm just hoping they have a good beauty break this week:)
I have another flare up of perioral dermatitis going. The antibiotics for it are vicious. . I seem to get it every year in early fall or midwinter. Blah.
I have two blue lipsticks ready to go for Halloween (Bite Squid Ink and MAC Kling It On) anticipating my Ravenclaw costume; but then turned around and bought pants, gloves, and a scarf for a Jyn Erso (Star Wars: Rogue One) costume. I will probably let makeup tip the balance in favor of Harry Potter this year because otherwise that's $50 in lipstick I can't justify.
I ordered Mega Pro 3. I had a 3x point offer from Ulta in my inbox this morning, so it was enough to push me over 2000 points again. I'll snag some holiday sets when it credits in a couple days, I think.
I hit pan on one of my Use Up Challenge products(a blush)!!!! I've only ever hit pan one 1 blush before. EVER. I'm so excited and more motivated to use this puppy up completely by the end of the year.
I swatched that big, new Tarte palette at Ulta this past weekend and it was ... disappointing. Their Swamp Queen palette got knocked for being too soft/dusty (although I like it), but the shadows in this one seemed very dry and lacking in pigment. I had a hard time getting colors to show up without going back to the pan multiple times.
My birthday is this month and the gift is a UD shadow single in Midnight Cowboy. That's a good one!

Was that the big holiday Tarte palette that the sent the email about the other day? It looked so pretty but man, I just don't have any luck with Tarte shadows so this is good to know.
And I want (but probably don't need) mega pro 3 also but I need to assess what products I already have. I might just get it anyway bc I have my $125 Ulta credit to use but I'm waiting for Modern Renaissance to come back in stock.

Yes, the artist palette or something. I keep making excuses like "maybe it was the tester" or "maybe it's the dry climate here in CO", because it really is very pretty, but my first impression was not great. The climate here may very well be part of it and in more humid parts of the country the shadows would perform just fine -- but that doesn't do me much good!
I noticed I have a 5x point offer on skincare that overlaps with my 3x point offer at Ulta.
If I buy my Perricone foundation serum and moisturizer I'll get another 978 points.
I hate their customer service but love their rewards program. I bet I'll hit 2000 for the third time this year. I haven't even reached platinum yet for 2016.

I would get the mega pro. I bought a holiday tarte palette two years ago and it is my most disappointing palette to date. The color payoff is just not there. Whereas all the lorac palettes I own, including last years mega pro, are just exceptional.

I think I want the Mega Pro too. I'm so undecided!
In the last couple weeks I've gone from wanting the Naked Basics Ultimate to Modern Renaissance, then the Tarte holiday one and now the Lorac Mega.
I'm really into mauve and warm, soft browns right now. I think Lorac is the way to go. Until I change my mind tomorrow, lol.
Is LM not doing a Caviar stick holiday set this year? That's the one thing I was really planning to get this year.
Sad!
Although -- I was super excited about it last year, and I should have just bought the single rose gold, as I had been planning to do. I don't wear many of the others nearly as often, though I like them.

Can we talk about other products here?
I just switched to the sulfate-free Costco/Kirkland shampoo and conditioner and my hair feels amazing so far. I mean, it's only been day 2 but my hair feels nice, not weighed down and it smells really good. Someone asked if I just got my hair coloured and nope, I am rocking a 4 month old balayage.

If it's any consolation, I actually prefer the NYX jumbo pencils to the LM caviar sticks. I get better pigmentation and staying power with those.
I also recently swatched a Burberry shadow stick and a LM stick to compare the colors, and the Burberry didn't even want to come off with eye makeup remover while the LM wiped right off.
