Before I met my husband, he would never ever go on a vacation. He had 4 weeks of vacation, the means to travel the world and yet he would stay home. This baffles me. Same for his friends and siblings.
Longest distance vacation was southern Africa (Namibia, Botswana and Zimbabwe) from the west coast. My "home" through the years has been located in five different countries on three continents so I've travelled a decent amount.

Croatia.
Dropping this here: several years ago, I was in EPCOT and overheard someone exclaim, "Wow, I always wanted to go to Paris! So glad I finally made it!" Followed by multiple camera snaps...
Italy. Otherwise, I've been to most states east of Kansas (odd cut off, I know), Canada and several Caribbean islands. But it has been a really long time since I've taken a vacation of any sort. Trying to remedy that soon.

ETA: sorry, I forgot Canada!
This is baffling. I worked at a place that started everyone with four weeks vacation. It was fantastic. I still had to carefully plan to make sure I had enough for everything I wanted to do, but so many of my co-workers didn't take even close to all of their time. I never understood it. Some of them said they wouldn't have anything to do to use up all that time. I figure at the very least I could just stay home and do nothing.

Argentina, although at the the time it wasn't that far from where I was living. Although I've been to China and Thailand, also not that far from where I was living at the time.

Prague.
And as a former Alaskan resident, the improper use of the term continental US is a huge pet peeve of mine. All states are part of the continent. The proper term for excluding Alaska and Hawaii is contiguous.
A friend used to have a roommate who hated to travel. He'd take vacation time but just stay home. He felt NO need to go anywhere. I can't even fathom this! While we're limited based on $$, DH and do as much as we can to try and explore and travel as much as possible.

I do this EVERY SINGLE TIME. I'll be all like " Wow JAPAN I am so glad I never have to make that flight because it's right HERE in Florida LOLOLOLOL!!" but like dripping with sarcasm. Also I am drunk every time I say it ( or at least buzzed).
