It's been raining all day but not bad and no wind yet (in Seattle). The first wind storm is supposed to hit later this evening. But the big one is Saturday afternoon/evening.
When I was in Oregon last week, I was telling my cousin that I was grateful not to live in hurricane country (like NC), and that in Oregon all I had to worry about Columbus Day storm weather that only happens like every 100 years.

According to our weather station we've had almost 1 inch of rain since midnight. It's been a bit breezy, but the big winds haven't started yet.
People are driving like idiots, and everyone is panicking and buying all the water at the grocery store. (Even though even when we lost power for 9 days back in 2006 we never had an issue with our water being out.)
I bought a ton of ice cream and root beer (and we already have stuff for banana splits), and my liquor cabinet and pantry is full, so I'm good to go.
Just rain so far. We are charging all our devices and downloading whatever movies will fit because I don't want to get stuck having to entertain my kids with no power.
I'm in the Willamette Valley. It's been raining pretty heavily all day, but the wind doesn't seem to have picked up too much yet. Thunder storms are supposed to start in the early morning tomorrow, and the worst of the storm isn't expected to hit here until Saturday.
We've done some prepping in case we lose power, since we've been told that we should expect to.

Portlander here...we went grocery shopping today and 1/2 the water shelves were empty 😂 It's been raining all day and some of the streets were full of water. I brought some of my Halloween decorations inside, bought batteries for our natural gas fireplace, and stocked up at the liquor store just in case. All of the outdoor soccer has been cancelled for Saturday, which I appreciate!

Eastern WA here and it's been raining for most of the day. We've got a quarter of an inch, which doesn't seem like much, but our annual rainfall here is 8.6" so it's a good amount for us!
My c-sec is scheduled for Tuesday in Issaquah so I'm convinced baby will make an early debut tomorrow or Saturday because that's just how things tend to go! Haha.

Lots of of rain. Lol, so nothing yet? Saturday is supposed to be interesting. I went to Costco. They restocked the water and had a guy loading it onto the carts for people. I stocked up on batteries, booze, and non perishable food.
I'm across the sound from Seattle, we've just been getting steady rain all day. The wind is starting to pick up, but it's still not bad. DH and I don't have kids at home, so we don't have that to worry about. We stopped at the store yesterday to pick up some odds and ends. We left with milk, beer, and Triscuts. Gotta have something to put our rations on! DH checked on the generator yesterday to make sure it's ready to go. He tried to start it...and the cord broke. He opened it up to fix it, and the spring that returns the starter had actually broke! DH said that we would be able to start it with a drill, but I'm not sure he made sure to put the batteries on the charger. Normally we just worry about having enough power to run a lamp, portable heater, and a power strip that powers our computers and internet modem. Priorities!
Worst case scenario, we go crash with some friends that live close enough to the Navy base that they're on the same grid and won't lose power.
So far it's just been rainy and windy. Not any terrible downpours. Saturday I'm planning on having my younger daughter's third birthday party at our house, but now I'm thinking of cancelling because i don't want people out if it gets too crazy.
There was some pretty hefty wind and rain during the night, enough to wake me up. We lost power some time (we usually do) in the night, but it is back on now. Not raining, but the sky looks really forbidding.

Lightning, wind and SHEETS of rain during the drive to work this morning. Good thing I was already on campus and there weren't that many cars around yet. I couldn't see anything through the windshield for about 2 minutes.
Lots of wind and rain overnight and then it calmed down a bit, though the wind is starting to pick up again, at least east of the city. I'm just hoping Saturday night isn't as bad as they are predicting.
We still have power, and it really hasn't seemed too windy, but it is pouring!
We had about 1.3 inches of rain per our weather station when we went to bed last night (about 11 pm), and we've had another .8 inches already today. The main road into our neighborhood is flooded, so we'll have to use the backroads for the next week or so.
I'm trying to play a guessing game on when we're most likely to use power, because I'd like to do some laundry and run the dishwasher. We're almost out of forks, and I'm guessing that we'll probably be without power on Sunday, our usual laundry day, and while our generator will run our washer, it doesn't run our dryer.
