I'm taking a day off next week to have a special day with W. We're going to the Crayola experience. There is also a bulid-a-bear there which I have a gift card for.
Would you do both on one trip? Or make it 2 special trips? Fwiw, the mall is only about 20 mins from my house
For me, it would depend on DD's behavior that day. If she was on great behavior for the Crayola event, I'd surprise her with a stop at Build A Bear. If she was being a beast, however, I'd skip it and head home.
I would do 2 trips bc I'm cheap. Also I think a lot of the specialness is the time with you, not so much the actual activity so 2 trips would be twice as special as one.

I would do two trips. Both in one day will make for an exhausted kid. I really treasure the time I have with just one kid, since it's so rare, so I would really enjoy two separate days with her (and hopefully she would too). We're thinking about going to the Crayola Experience when we're in NJ for Christmas. I hope you come back to review it.
Definitely two trips, I feel like when they get too much "stuff" at once it loses its specialness. The best part will be spending the day with you so if he gets to do that twice it will be even more special
