I love buying him fancy clothes like ties and suits. I also get excited when I find him something I know he'll love, like the Pokemon shirts and the Pikachu hoodie I found at Target. Other than that, I just pick up what's on sale at Old Navy. I have to buy his uniforms online. I guess overall I enjoy it.
No not unless I find something fun like the Captain America shirt I got DS to match H's shirt. I never thought he'd wear it as a 5 month old since it's a 12 month shirt, but whatever.
Thankfully out of my four sisters one has boys older than DS so we just get tubs of clothes to borrow whenever I see her, another sister loves buying clothes for all her nieces & nephews and another loves finding good deals on kid clothes. The other sister is similar to me. So anyways, awesomely we don't worry too much about buying clothes yet.
No. I didn't love it for my son, but he is pretty average size for his age, and boys clothes are generally cut loose, so it was tedious but not really hard.
My daughter is very solid and tall for her age. I have so much trouble guessing what size will fit her. Pants are especially awful, because everything sturdy (jeans, etc) seems to be cut "skinny" and are too tight. Leggings are more forgiving, but she's so hard on them that they always gets holes and worn knees long before she's outgrown them.
So basically, everything I complain about in adult sizes is also true for my 5 year old.
I enjoyed buying for DS when he was little. I have 6 nieces and a goddaughter- boy stuff was novel.
I still enjoy picking up the odd graphic tee or pajama pants. My mom just bought him 3 pair of Halloween themed boxers because when you're 23 you want your crazy old nana to buy you underwear.
A couple years ago she sent him a tee with a squirrel on it that said something about it all being fun and games until somebody loses their nuts. He wore it to his last ever pedi appointment and some 6 year old asked him what it meant. DS said he didn't know, his crazy grandmother bought it.

I like it more now that they're older and have preferences. It's boring to buy baby boy clothes; a 4 year old getting excited about a T rex t-shirt is more fun.
I do and it makes me kinda sad that DD1 has practically zero interest in clothes. She'll be 14 in a week and I want to buy her so much stuff but she just shows no interest at all...she's perfectly happy in bermuda length shorts and a t-shirt.
DD2 likes clothes more than DD1 so I still can have fun buying stuff for her.
No. My kids are pigs and ruin all the nice things and insist if wearing their raggedy old shit and mismatched outfits despite having new nice things. Or they come up with excuses why the good clothes are unwearable (scratchy, too loose, hot, cold, sleeves the wrong length etc) I gave up.
jinkies, have you tried Target's Cat and Jack leggings? They're on the thicker side, but have been wearing really well for my daughter. They're currently having a 30% off deal online right now.
I really enjoy buying my kids clothes. More so my daughter though. As my daughter gets older it's getting slightly more difficult to find clothes that fit her length and waist, but it's still fun. This board introduced me to Boden (and miniboden) and I'm like a kid in a candy shop online looking at cute clothes for my kids. It's an expensive thing to enjoy! I try to rationalize it by telling myself we give the older clothes to friends who also give them to other people once their children have grown out of them; we have some clothes that are on their third and fourth child!
I do. First baby, we bought all her clothes from a yard sale (5 plastic tubs of newborn to 2T for $130) so it's nice to go out and buy her some new things since I didn't have everything.
Boys clothing is fairly boring. Cargo shorts and graphic t-shirts. He's only 5, and doesn't really care what he wears.
This fall, I ran up to Macy's and picked out 4-5 Under Armour shirts with a couple of pairs of co-ordinating shorts. In and out in just a few minutes.
In the past, most of his clothing has come from the Gap and Old Navy. I usually just shop online.
When I find something I really like, I often buy it in multiple sizes.
I am not a fan of most of the graphic tees for boys (as opposed to Toddler sizes.) Target had some cute Toddler sized Halloween tees, but my son is too tall.

Not really. I am too indecisive and underestimate what they need. If it were all up to me they'd have like two weeks worth of clothes. DH and MIL buy like 90% of the girls' clothes.
We live in the South, so we love ruffles. I get a lot of her clothes from the mystery sales at Rufflegirl.com. Each mystery set includes a top, bottom, and bow for $9.99 and then it all ships for $5,99. They are super comfy and hold up really well, so she likes those a lot.
I also sometimes find boutique outfits at ryleefaithdesigns.com. A lot of it is crap, but some things are awesome.
I just got this:
Then I shop sales at Gymboree for basic pieces.
She is still all about mama, so she still loves anything mama buys her (for now).

I found pants for DS at Kohls for $1.80 each the other day. I enjoy finding a deal, but striped shirts, dinosaur tees and sweats are not that interesting.
jinkies, have you tried Target's Cat and Jack leggings? They're on the thicker side, but have been wearing really well for my daughter. They're currently having a 30% off deal online right now.
I love it. And I have boys, and they're getting older (5 & 6 right now) so I thought the shine would be wearing off of clothes shopping but it isn't.
My weakness is having them match or coordinate. I always wanted a girl, but ya know having two of the same gender is verrrry nice for the matching clothes gig.
I'd rather his dresser just be constantly filled with clothes that fit him rather than having to switch them out and buy new every 3-6 months. So, no. I don't really enjoy it.

Yes I like it. They are 4 and 6. They are starting to get opinions so I'm now trying to buy to their tastes. Their taste is rainbow sparkle explosion with stretchy bottoms. Also DD1 Ioves tye dye which I think is hilarious.
I like " getting a deal" or buying him something unique or different. He rarely has opinions but today we were at a huge consignment sale & the kid who lives in joggers & hoodies picked out a super preppy pair of crewcut cords with little hunting dogs all over them. For 4.00 I just had to buy them for him.
