Has anyone else tried trying a K-cup a second time? I just did .... and it still spits out coffee. It may not be as strong, but it's another cup of coffee. Considering how much these suckers cost, i thought I'd send this info along.....lol.
I haven't tried that, but I will. We haven't even been buying k-cups lately because DH wants us to use up the regular stuff in our reusable cup. Now the reusable cup is handy, but it's a PITA to clean between brews.

It sure is a PITA.
Granted the second cup isn't as tasty, but if you're like me, it's good enough.
I have a gigantic coffee mug, so I will run water through it twice to fill it up. That results in a giant mug of medium strength coffee. (Not that I can drink much of it anymore anyway. SADS.)
Ive done it, but I think it is gross. Maybe if I got a super dark blend.
The lowest Ive seen is 10.98 a pack at Wal-Measy. Can you find them cheaper?
We get 80 packs of J's current addiction (Newman's Own Extra Dark) at Costco for $38, and I supplement that with one of the yummy flavored ones I like from BB&B when we have a 20% off coupon.
We may have to try using the k-cups twice though, thanks for the tip!

This is what I usually get too.
I prefer strong coffee, I can't even imagine what it must be like for the second cup.

I do a second run through on my nespresso pods (about the same price as keurig, but for espresso), but that's added into the first and then topped off with milk. So, it doesn't save me money, but it gets a stronger first drink. I don't think I could handle a watered down version at all.

The thing is, how many are in the pack? It varies. My local Hannaford sells a 12 pak of Green Mountain Coffee K-cups for 8.99.
This is while I'll never buy a Keurig. For 8.99, I could brew a lot more than 12 cups of coffee. Also, I kind of like being able to control how much coffee I put in per cup.

I actually still brew pots of coffee on the weekend (and prefer that especially due to cost). I use the Keurig on weekday mornings when I need a quick cup and only one cup (because I don't have the time to dilly dally). Then I sometimes want just one more cup when I come home. So I end up using 2 K cups per day. I think I will try to reuse the one from the morning and see how it goes.

24 for 10.98. Or 12.98 for some of the others. I like the Folgers black silk. I dont like flavored coffee, it tastes like ass when the beans are flavored. I will get a syrup to add flavor if I feel like some.
Heh..I don't like flavored coffee either. I love the smell of it, but then I'm completely and utterly disappointed when I drink it. And then there's the aftertaste...blech.
Can we talk about reusable cups some more? I don't have a Keurig yet but am considering it. My hesitation is the cups and waste but I thought the reusable cups would solve this issue.
Is it really a pain?
Right now I drink one giant cup a day (regular coffee, no flavors). When the new baby arrives I'll probably be up to 6 cups a day for a few months (based on how I was with my first son - newborn phase blows!).
