So ... here we are with 2.5 months left in the year (ok, less than that, but I can't face thinking about it). What are you still wanting to get done?
Mine - my mom is coming for 6 weeks again this year, so I've officially got a month left until her arrival: Get carpet cleaned Get tile cleaned Get piano tuned (technically maybe not H&G, but still) Rip out carpet in new family room Paint new family room (probably will rip out carpet after this - yay free dropcloth) Put down new floor in family room. Barring having time for that, buy/put down giant near-wall-to-wall rug. Find a good storage method for my crafty/sewing stuff Clean up the mess the house has somehow descended into Buy new comforters for the beds Start making curtains for the downstairs.

I just started a list for us this morning! Here is pre-halloween party: -Put on pool cover (pool itself is already winterized.) -run waterline from basement to fridge (finally) -install cat door in basement door -fix threshold between dining and living
Pre-Thanksgiving hosting: -add wood bar countertop and wood panel -get new back doors -get furnishing for entryway -get upstairs hallway light fixture.
ETA: Winter -install missing storm windows (2) -fix damaged return ducts in basement.
I'm sure I'll add to it, but I'll be pumped to get these checked off the list!
I'm growing older but not up. My metabolic rate is pleasantly stuck, let the winds of time blow over my head. I'd rather die while I'm living than live while I'm dead.

Last weekend DH actually goes "I feel like I don't have any more projects to do with it being a new house and all...." I may have given him a death stare.
So I guess MY projects are: -Prime and paint guest room dresser -touch up interior paint -prime and paint dress up station for E (Christmas gift) -Hem and hang guest room curtains -Buy new living room furniture -Hang up more photos
1. Organize downstairs closets and get baby clothes to friend with baby. 2. Fix ceiling. We had a leak, the plumber had to cut into the ceiling to fix the leak and we are still trying to get that bit of ceiling textured properly to blend in with the rest of the ceiling 3. Find lamps for the guest bedroom. Everything I like, DH will hate and vice versa. 4. Figure out proper storage for DD's art from nursery school. I want to keep some of it, but not all of it.

I'm going to focus on our current house versus our renovation as we will have to do some things before renting it out:
Paint the kitchen & living room as they are sage green and I think they would do better as cream/white. Re-paint the master and guest bedrooms as they need it (will keep the apple green & yellow) Fix a few spots in the wood flooring See if we can get rid of a few spots in two carpets - if not, buy new carpets for those rooms
-I'm waiting for my new dishwasher to be installed on Friday -Buy and put up blinds on 16 windows. I've contacted several handymen and am waiting to hear back. Honestly I know I should but I just don't want to do this myself. -I'm meeting with someone tonight to "automate"our house plus put in a new security system with cameras. We'll see how it goes. -Switch beds in a couple of my kids bedrooms because one of my daughters is moving to another room & so we are putting the bunks in the little kids room. -Design and buy an Elfa closet system for my oldest's new room which has a huge closet. It will hold her clothes and her extremely large Lego collection. -Maybe buy some new rugs, a coat rack
We just moved into our house 2 weeks ago so my list is:
Paint pink bedroom a lighter shade of pink. I have the color picked out, just have to buy the paint and any other supplies I need after going through what BF already has. Get some navy art for that room.
Hang all of our shit that goes on walls.
Buy nightstands for one of the guest bedrooms.
Maybe get new nightstands for master bedroom.
Redo backyard! We won 20 hours of landscape designer time in a silent auction this weekend so once our house in Charleston closes and we have a better idea of the project budget we'll get started on that. It will be a pretty big undertaking (the house in Charleston sold for about $20K more than we'd been expecting) and I'm so excited!
ETA: I forgot about the Ecobee thermostat we want to put in.

Here are the things I have left to do for our renovation:
- buy all the lights, switches & sockets for the bedrooms, hallways, kitchen (we're re-using a few lights) - find, buy new carpets for some rooms, see if someone will re-install a few old carpets (which were pretty new) as long as they still look okay - figure out & buy paint for hallways/stairs, kitchen and living room - buy tile for kitchen - find tile for powder room (we're using some leftover tiles) plus figure out and buy paint and probably more that I've forgotten about
