I'm reading the latest Kate Daniels, Magic Binds. I like the book, but I've been so distracted by TV lately to give it enough attention.
I'm also listening to Written in my own Heart's Blood. I read 50% of it when it first came out and got bogged down. I'm hoping the audio version will help. I PPH Davina Porter.
Here's my kitty, Malibu. She's a mix, but part Siamese. Oddly, not much of a talker.

LOL - My first cat was a part Siamese named Malibu! He also didn't talk much and when he meowed, it sounded like he needed some lessons (quiet, undemanding, unfinished).

That's so funny! She has a few chirpy hellos, but the one she does the most, which is rarely, is this mournful, horrible meow. I feel the need to scoop her up and hold her close. LOL, that's probably why she does it.

I took a nap yesterday ... with my broken ankle, I've been sleeping on the sofa for almost a month but I've finally started sleeping in the first floor guest room. Well, Samara didn't see me move so after about an hour, she realized that I wasn't where she expected. She set off walking around the house, meowing the most mournful, worried meow that she woke me up. I was half-asleep, scrambling to get upright and onto my knee scooter, convinced that she'd gotten stuck somewhere, when she sauntered into the room.
Because all threads can use additional pet photos ...
Samara, providing some comfort.
Dash, complaining that he fell off his shelf (onto the desk, with GBCN in the background).

lol. I love mine dearly, but cats are such assholes and so particular!! That and the random crashing in the middle of the night because something was on the counter that she didn't think should be.
Also, my cat LOVES plastic grocery bags. She tears them apart and eats them. It's a mad dash if I have one to get it unloaded and put away before she finds it. I have to scare her away sometimes! She, of course, promptly pukes it back up.
