This is a total AW post, you've been warned. But I wanted to brag about the novel I just published on Amazon. Here's my CEP-related pitch:
Is election 2016 getting you down? Do you just want to escape modern American politics for a while, but you still need your political fix?
Then check out The Lion and the Fox, and jump into the cutthroat world of Renaissance Florentine politics. When a dead Medici shows up in a male brothel, the powerful family turns to political exile Niccolo Machiavelli to find the murderer. But will Machiavelli be outfoxed? It has spoiled rich boys, prostitutes (male and female!), a mysterious woman, fights, murders, mystery, politics––pretty much everything you could desire.
If you're interested, please check it out! I would really love to get more readers and reviews.
I added this to my book list last week! I had no idea you wrote it!
Seriously!? Do we know each other?!? Because I just published it on Friday, and I was sort of convinced that the only people who have bought it are my friends and family.
Sent to Kindle! The only complaint I have is that I have way too many chores to get done this week so I won't have time to sit and read it IMMEDIATELY.

Yep it was over the weekend I was browsing Amazon (MIL usually gives us gift cards for Halloween so will be doing some buying next week). I don't think so, I haven't bought it yet, just put it on my to read list It looks really good!

You know who's really living the dream? My sister, who publishes with the pen name Emma Prince. She writes historical romance, and in just over two years she's sold well over 100,000 copies! She inspired me to give it a try myself.
It did start as a NaNo novel, waaaaay back in 2008. It needed some major revisions, edits, and polish (plus 30k more words), but I really love the finished product!
Do you receive some sort of notification on how many books you've sold?
Thanks!
Amazon has a Kindle Direct Publishing page, where they give you reports about books sold, and even the number of pages read each day by people who have Kindle Unlimited. It's easy to become unhealthily obsessed with checking your stats. Not that I would know anything about that. Nope.
