She seriously does! Over 2k on her newsletter list, and thousands of reviews on Amazon and goodreads for her books. She's writing full-time, and making way more than I make as a history professor!

Amazon recently changed how they pay authors for KU downloads--it's now "per page," so they keep track of how many pages you click through, and then through some mysterious algorithm the author gets a cut. I've heard that a lot of authors aren't happy with the system, because there's a major lack of transparency.

You don't need to know anything! My mom read it, and said it was super easy to follow with zero historical knowledge, and my mom's not a liar.

Amazon has a Kindle Direct Publishing page, where they give you reports about books sold, and even the number of pages read each day by people who have Kindle Unlimited. It's easy to become unhealthily obsessed with checking your stats. Not that I would know anything about that. Nope. 

Well that's a big no on getting Kindle Unlimited.

LOL! That would be the best. Especially for my drive home. However, if we did go that route, you'd have to wait until I finished the Hamilton book. Only 30 more hours to go!

Yeah, it's kind of crazy how closely they can watch you. Like, I don't know how many people downloaded the book, but I got 418 page reads on 10/21.
