I seem to be on track for my number goal for the year, but I just looked at my currently reading shelf on Goodreads and I got a little overwhelmed! I think another goal for me is to finish all the books on my Currently Reading shelf. I'm at varying stages for most of them.
I'm going to try to finish:
Vivian Apple at the end of the World Golden Son Notorious RBG Heart Shaped Box The Final Empire Dead Wake Written in my own Heart's Blood Empire of Storms The Great Hunt
Anyone else have any goals for the rest of the year?

I am doing a reading challenge and I have 6 books left on it. All The Light We Cannot See (about 1/2 done) In the Garden of Beasts (about 1/2 done) Jane Eyre The Catcher in The Rye Bossypants The Sea of Tranquility
I'm not doing a challenge like this next year because it causes me to feel pressure to read stuff I don't like. But I can't stop!

I keep saying I'm going to stop tracking books and just read at my own pace, but I can't seem to stop. I think in the 6 ish years I've been tracking I didn't make my goal twice, but whatever, right? What's read is read!
Very impressive that you're able to keep that many books going at once. I think 4 is the most I have ever actively read/listened to at the same time and that was a bit hard for me to keep track of the various plots/characters. I try to keep it to 2 books: one reading, one listening.
My goals for the rest of the year: 1. Finish reading series that I have already started. I have 16 books on my "next in series" shelf, it's getting a little ridiculous but it probably won't go down much because some of them have a LOT of books left to read in the series (Hollows has 13 books total and I'm only on #5 for example) 2. Read at least 2 more non-fiction books this year. As much as reading is a nice escapism/entertainment, it's also good to broaden my horizons by reading about real things. 3. Weed down my TBR shelf. It's currently sitting at 608 which is a bit ridiculous, I'll never be able to read that much because I'm always adding to it. So I'd like to go through it and remove at least a quarter.
I don't track because it would stress me out and everything already stresses me out. reading is my escapism. I hate feeling like I HAVE to read something when I am reading for pleasure. I have 16 books on my kindle I bought forever ago and haven't read, so my goal is to cut this at least in half by the end of the year. So, easy lofty goal!
I always have 2 books going (1 kindle and 1 audible) and occasionally have a third going (1 paper book) anymore than 3 and I tend to get confused/lost.
My TBR list is only about 40 because it is books I own/have on Kindle already, own in paper form already, or have in my holds area at the library. I don't tend to add books unless I have/have it on hold in some form. So, yeah, I have 40 books on my kindle, in paper, from audible or on hold at the library currently.
I need to read another 12 books before the end of the year to reach my goal of 50 books. According to Goodreads I'm 3 books behind schedule (and I'm currently actively, but slowly, reading three).
I think I can still make it, but I may have to pick some lame-o fluff in December. LOL!

I was trying to go for 24 this year, Goodreads says I'm at 18 or 19 (one was a half left over from 2016). Hoping to finish at least 4 more this year. I think next year I can't set a goal, it's a great thing but does add stress that you have to pick up another book, or plow through a crappy one just to check it off. On the flip side though, after setting goals the last couple of years I've read more books each year, although joining this group and the old Nest widened my scope tremendously.
Not really. This election has been horrible for my reading because I keep obsessively clicking through to every news site instead of opening up a book.
That said, I had some good months earlier this year and I'm at 43 books so far, which is about where I was last year at this time. It's heavily weighted to audiobooks, though (26).
I have 4 books left to go for my reading challenge (30 books). I should hit it as long as i can get 2-3 of them read before my maternity leave ends in a few weeks. I'm currently reading one.
