That is so weird. I would definitely think that he was either trying to sell the coat, or that he just bought it and didn't take the sign off. But not that he was the leader of a sex trafficking ring. I mean, WTF?!?!
I am wondering if she was once told that this is one of the "secret" signs pimps use to communicate with Johns. Like, if you run in THOSE circles, you know that this guys "for sale" sign means he has girls?
I don't think that it is common, and I haven't heard of that particular tactic (I used to work at a NPO that focused on Human Trafficking)...but I don't know that it seems crazy.
However, I would want to know if the man was also black, because I feel like there is a racial component if someone is jumping from a man wearing a fur coat w/ for sale sign to pimps.
Why would a for sale sign make her assume he is a pimp!?
He is basically saying " girls are available, come here." Not that he or his coat were for sale.
In what world would someone interpret that a for sale sign with a phone number on it would imply that said person was selling women for sex!? This whole thing is so ridiculous.
Should I also assume that if I see a guy with a for sale sign on his car that he is also a pimp? And that perhaps if I hire his women, I can use said vehicle for my sexual adventures?
I can just see some guy coming up to him and being like, "hey there, I'm interested." Coat guy is like, "sweet, I want $500 for it." "Alright, man. I can do that." Dude hands over the coat. Other guy stares at him blankly. lololol
