I haven't bought a baby gift or anything for a baby in awhile. Mom-to-be is not registered. I would like to get a wrap/carrier or something useful in the $50-75 range. Suggestions?
I registered for (and received) a carrier and we ended up using it all of maybe two times (and it was actually DH who wore him), so that item's not at the top of my list of "useful" items. I know lots of people love them though, so I'm sure you'll get some good suggestions.
Do you know if anyone's getting them a travel/stroller system, and what kind? If so, maybe an extra base for the infant carrier carseat? I think it would be in that price range, and would definitely be useful if they have two vehicles.
Another idea: buy a baby bathtub and fill it with a bunch of baby "bath" items like body wash, wash cloths, hooded towel, etc.
I bought my Ergo for around $70 on Ruelala. It was one of the most useful baby items. Some good quality swaddle blankets (like Swaddle Design) would also be nice.

I love my ergo but it's out of that price range. Personally, I wouldn't do a wrap/carrier because people like them or don't. I'd suggest The kick n play. It's "useful" in that it buys you 15 minutes to make dinner, do laundry, etc. I'd do that and a box of size 2 diapers.
