Why isn't Wells Fargo able to return the items they took from the home instead of giving monetary compensation? Or was this stuff that was stolen after they broke in?
I saw a news story on this over the weekend. Wells Fargo gave the correct address to the demo company. The demo company made the mistake by reversing 2 numbers of the address. As unfortunate as this is, I fail to see how this is the fault of WF. Hopefully they have good home insurance in place.

I'm more inclined to believe this if it only happened once. But twice, with two different contractors? I suppose it's possible but I'm going to have to see the evidence to believe that.

This. Once, it's certainly plausible that the contractors messed up. But twice?
