Has anyone been to Universal Studios? We've booked a 4-night Disney cruise for Feb. 2018, and plan to do two days at the parks beforehand. Because it's the weekend before President's Day, I guess it's pretty busy, and I'm not sure if I want to deal with super heavy crowds at Magic Kingdom. I'm thinking Universal would be a good option because they have the unlimited express pass (like a fast pass), and we could do a park a day. Thoughts? Will my almost 6 & 8 year old girls like it there?
Are they into Harry Potter? I did one day in Universal two years ago and loved it but I pretty much only did Harry Potter stuff. I did find that it was a lot more user friendly than Disney in terms of seating areas and lines. I'm sure there's other stuff to do but I would look at a list of attractions that interest you since it's pretty much the same price as Disney.

Universal is a lot of simulator type rides or roller coasters. The Minion Madness ride is really fun. They have a Shred 4D, ET, a kid's curious george play area, the Suessland area is also amazing. Definitely do the option to get their express pass though because the lines are insane.
I loved Universal. We went a year ago with our then 8- and 3-year olds, and they both loved it. There are a lot of rides the whole family can go on, and there's a great splash pad kids can run in. There's also a kid-friendly Dr. Seuss-themed area. Honestly, I preferred Universal to Disney, and we spent 4 days there.
