I spent Saturday completely focused on me and did what I wanted to do. I didn't worry about friends or family or anything. It was nice to have a me-centered day.

In a similar vein as yours, I finished a 6 mile run on Sat. even though my legs felt really heavy and slow and I've been struggling to get back into the running shape I was in before my last half marathon. Next one is 6 weeks from yesterday - eek.
After being sick for a few days last week, I started feeling a little bit better and I went to Crossfit two days in a row. I was proud of myself for getting out of my house and making it to the work out.
I also redecorated my bathroom (a project I've been wanting to do for a while). Got cute new light green bath rugs and a shower curtain that reminds me of being somewhere tropical.
I find that a lot of our posts are down and out or focus on things that we experience and not that we do. So, what is one awesome thing that YOU did this weekend for yourself?
I ran a 5k without stopping. I had a mental block on the distance and topography (I live in a hilly area) and had been struggling with proper fueling. Yesterday I laced up, took it slow and ran a hilly 5k with energy to spare. I felt awesome afterward and really prepared for my upcoming races.

I spent a day doing selfish things because P was with XH yesterday.
I went for a walk in teh morning, then to the gym. Then I went and got groceries and prepared some healthy foods for the week ahead. I worked in my yard a little and then laid out with two trashy magazines for about 2.5 hours. I even watched the movie Old School, which I love. Oh and then I met my guy friend for a glass of wine and my mom was kind enough to pick P up from XH.
Funniest thing was, XH asked why I wasn't picking P up myself and I said "because I had a glass of wine". He said "well I'm glad you didn't drive then". LMAO. Coming from Mr. Multiple DUI's. Glad he's looking out

I went wakeboarding and totally kicked ass. I've only gone a couple times before but all of the snowboarding skillz really transfer. It's a bit different due to being in water obvs, but yeah I was killin it. Makes me miss snowboarding slightly less.

I got my hair cut and highlighted for the first time since I moved (4 months!). It was nice to feel pampered for a little while, and to cut off the scraggly hair.
I went to yoga and was able to do all the poses really well. It's only my second time back after an extended leave of absence (knee issues) so I felt really proud of myself.

I spent Saturday doing absolutely nothing....I watched alot of crappy tv and just vegged out. Im usually always doing something or cleaning and it was nice to take a day and a night and just relax.
I sewed a lampshade cover using materials from a pillowcase that I never used and the left over curtain trimmings when I hemmed my curtains this weekend.
It was definitely the most hardcore thing I've ever done! Luckily the next two days were easier. Lots of snow and then lots of mud, but only a few rocky patches and only one minor fall.
I enjoyed hanging out with my neighbor and friends yesterday while watching my Bears beat my hometown (and everyone else's favorite team) Colts. Sure I had a few hours worth of work that I should've done to prepare for today, but I decided to enjoy the weather and relax instead. It was pretty great since I had a bad panic attack Saturday night.

I painted my hallway from light orange to a mushroom brown, even though it's a small space there are like 5 door ways in the hallway so there was some serious taping involved. So happy to have i done.
Oh, and I made homemade salsa with my garden tomatos, Yum!

Ran the Dirty Girl Mud Run yesterday. It was my 2nd year doing it an this year was SO much harder (it was at a ski resort this year) and I'm sore today, but it was worth it! I'm already planning for next year!
Heavenly, I love the lamp shade. I also love the shelves and picture frames. Where did you get those frames? Ikea?
Yes, you are right that those shelves and the frames are from Ikea!. I love the fact the shelves takes away the stress of hanging individual frames aligned perfectly.
