I'm looking for a one piece training/competition swimsuit. I'm a 34DD and thus would prefer a little bit of chest support (though not necessarily underwire). I would also like one that is higher cut on the legs - most of what I've seen are "conservative cut" which is uncomfortable given my larger, but athletic thighs.
I was going to recommend Funkita. It's an Aussie brand but you can buy on Amazon. They are in super bright designs and I have 3 different ones. But then I read you were looking for something for a fuller bust and Funkita doesn't have any support - that's not ever been a consideration for me - I'm pretty flat chested.
Have you been looking at actual training suits? As opposed to fashion suits? I don't think I've really seen much that doesn't have the usual high-cut legs.
As for the chest support - getting the right size in a good suit should get you all set there. You may be surprised at the size you actually need - do you have an actual swim shop near you where you could try suits on? Like speedo/tyr/dolfin, etc. My training bestie is a generously sized woman in the thigh and boob region (38G I think?) and she just got a new suit that holds everything in and is super high on her thighs, but she tried on like 4 suits, going down each time, before the lady at the shop was content with the size.

I haven't gone to a swim store because the store isn't convenient. That said, I realize it's probably the best plan. I have tried on TYR, Speedo, etc. at general sports stores where the selection is limited (think one style per brand).
If you can, I'd appreciate the name of the suit that your friend recently purchased.
Im 34dd, and i swim mostly in suits with a smaller back - that seems to be counterproductive but i just find them to be more comfortable. My favorite suits are tyr or the finals. I am also tall, so i size way the hell up, i think most of my suits are 38? I have one 36 somewhere. But thats enough to accomodate.
Id buy a bunch from swimoutlet and return what doesnt fit. Its a process.

Size down. No matter how large the boobage, the girls shouldn't jiggle when you jump. If they do, the suit's not tight enough.
I like TYR suits, personally, but I'll wear anything that fits. I wear a size 12-14 right now, which, in their sizing universe, is generally considered a 38 or 40. I have pretty giant hips. I wear a size 34 suit (unless it's polyester, in which case I wear a 36, because there's not enough stretch to get those bad boys over my ass in a 34. LOL). I could probably squeeze into a 32 and be comfortable, but I don't have any at the moment.
I generally prefer a thin strap, but you might want to experiment with strap widths for sake of figuring out what you find comfortable.
