Normal varies by region. I live in Phoenix, where the very low humidity makes temperatures feel lower than they are (applies whether it's hot or cold). It's been 61* the last couple of days, which is almost as cold as it will get in the winter. Thermostat set at 71*. Could get down to 69* without being really uncomfortable.
Deduct 15 degrees for equivalent midwest or northeast temps.

I like 68 generally, but we also have a gas fire place and sometimes, I get cold, and crank that on, when I am just sitting around or there is a big temp drop the heat is slow to keep up with.

This basically. Plus the high is usually 30 degrees warmer than the low because dry air doesn't hold heat the same way. So 61 for the high means lows in the 30s.
Fiance is from New England and a human furnace so we may let it go lower and just snuggle more, but I turned the heat on the other night.

We have 2 thermostats and they are on timers.
Downstairs is set to 68* for when we are home and awake and 65* when we are gone/asleep. I think we keep upstairs at 65* all the time or it may go up to 68* during waking hours as well. This is our first winter in this house.
69, but we also supplement with a space heater. The thermostat is in a tiny, well insulated addition, and the rest of the house is an inefficient 100 year old ice cube. Yay for renting?
It is set for 71* when we are home and awake and 63* when we are at work or asleep. It is also set to have the house warm before I get home or get up, that was a condition of the 63*! I hate being cold. If I am up and home on a weekday (Thanksgiving) I know the second it hits 69* and I turn it up at 68*, it is just uncomfortable for me at that temperature.

Depends on the room. Living room is set at 66, kitchen at 68, master bedroom at 68, kids rooms at 68 during the night and 62 during the day, and who knows for the den and guest room. I had them set at 66 but my brilliant husband changed them because ONE day it was cold. We rarely use those rooms so it made no sense. Nor did setting the living room to 72 when he was cold for a split second because he was sitting by the windows and leaving in 5 minutes. Since it is in floor heating, it took FOREVER to cool down to a normal temperature. Sorry, rant over.
65-67 during the day, 63-64 at night (it's a lot warmer upstairs in the bedrooms at night than that so much higher on the thermostat will cause you to sweat).
It's set on 60 but if it gets real cold outside I will bump it up a little. New house not sure how the bills are going to run. When I am home it's fine if I up doing stuff then if I am watching TV I have a throw. I like for it to be chilly at night.
