Do they have spouses or other close relatives you can reach out to for ideas? I usually do that when we get relatives we're not close with. I've found I like it because it helps me to get to know them better.

DH got his mid-20's male cousins college sweatshirts from their alma maters last Christmas, and they all LOVED them. We got them from Kohls for cheap.

If they didn't attend college, maybe one for a favorite sports team?
