This the second shipping issue we have had in a week. MH is on the phone arguing with them. I ordered 2 items and they were suppose to arrive yesterday and today. They are now delayed. Anyone else having issues?
Yep, and it's why I won't be renewing Prime. They've told me that it's 2 day shipping once the item is processed. It might take them several days to process an order, too bad so sad.

His argument is that it says 2 day shipping, but when it's delayed they haven't notified us. He just wants to be notified.

Well, WTF. I just got a package with two items, one was supposed to arrive Wednesday, one Friday (upcoming) and don't show on Amazon as shipped yet. And the item I am expecting today is nowhere to be seen. Trying to decide if it's worth complaining over a cat toy.
I'm growing older but not up. My metabolic rate is pleasantly stuck, let the winds of time blow over my head. I'd rather die while I'm living than live while I'm dead.
Yes, I think I jinxed myself - I was just saying the other day that I never have issues with shipping, aaaaannnddd the birthday gifts I need for today that were due yesterday are now scheduled to not be here until possibly Tuesday. Annoying.
Eta- the gifts arrived today just in the nick of time.
I had problems this past week but it was all UPS and not Amazon's fault. I'm in between 2 centers and they bounced one order back and forth a few days. Another package said it was on the truck to be delivered for 2 days. I called and they said it was taking a long time for delivery because of inclement weather. It was raining. Not a huge torrential downpour, no snow, no sleet. Just a steady rain.
Yes. I ordered prime items on November 30th that were supposed to arrive on December 2nd. They were due for a gift drive tomorrow morning (December 5th). Well, after they'd already been shipped and I could no longer cancel, I got a notification that they would not arrive until December 5th by 8pm. That doesn't work. I purposely chose items that would arrive with enough time to spare. This aggravates the shit out of me because they are not items I can use or regift, so I need to go to the UPS store and send them back. Ugh.
I have better luck arguing with the Chat option vs the phone. Last screw up was over amazon basic lighting chargers - csr gave me refund for the cost of buying one Apple brand cord retail at Best Buy. DH was set to leave the next day, his had broken, so really needed the thing. It was supposed to be delivered with plenty of time to spare.
I've also started screen shooting the delivered by dates on the original stuff as I've had email confirmations come with differ t dates.
I have much better luck with the chat option, too. Back when the fire stick first came out, prime members could order it at half price. I did, but they let too many people order and after a few weeks of wiaiting I found out they just cancelled my order. When I called, they wouldn't do anything for me. Just told me to order when more were in stock, but that would mean paying full price. When I hung up, I got right on the chat and the guy reordered one for me at half price right away.
Most of my items have been here on time except my daughters iPad cover. It's been delivered to UPS since Wednesday but still hasn't been sent out. The app gives me the option to get a refund. I can't blame Amazon for this one but they should be better prepared for this time of the year.

I have had tons of issues with them delivering when they say they will lately. So far it hasn't caused a problem for me but it is still annoying.
Their line I quoted above about how it is 2 day shipping once the item is processed doesn't ring true because before you order it says on the sidebar thing something like "order today by 8 pm and get it on Tuesday!" or whatever. Not doubting you, stephm0188, I just mean it's a bullshit line for Amazon to use.
I've had Prime for years and have noticed a huge difference in when it arrives in the last year. Before that the issues were much more isolated.

the thing is- prime Membership isn't cheap- you pay for that two day shipping so yeah you should call them!
I'm on a chat now. I got a notification that the items that "hadn't" shipped were delivered. No sign of cat toys and I have a VERY bored kitten here. Chat person says all breezy "Tuesday" GRR.
ETA: I was persistent, and brought up the order earlier in the week that was late. The less expensive item was refunded, and I got an extra month of Prime too. But it took almost an hour! Sheesh.

I've noticed that a lot of time to get it by that date, it's an additional shipping fee and not the free rate.

I'm having issues more with FedEx than Amazon. In the past 3 weeks, they've lost one shipment, and sent two other shipments in the other direction to IL where they've been just sitting. One item is due to deliver today with no update since Nov 30, and the other was originally due tomorrow and was updated to the 10th. I get it's an insanely busy time of year, but set realistic expectations if you can't handle the volume.
