loira he is insane with the food! I think he's up to over 22 lbs now and is busting out of his 12m clothes. I'm shocked! He regularly eats more than I do for breakfast and lunch.
boiler717, A is outgrowing her 12 month clothes too - mainly lengthwise. I'd say she might be tall when she grows up except I was a 'tall' baby and am a total shortie now. I'm also jealous of his napping. I'm lucky to get a 1.5hr nap out of her. Today was a 30min morning nap and a 40min afternoon nap. Often my poor mum has to help me convince her to nap - I just run out of patience by the end of the day.
You guys, we had forward movement today! Not advanced crawling, but she's figured out the 'hand, hand, knee, knee' sequence now. AND it was in front of H on skype so he got to see it. I was so pleased because I get really sad about him missing her 'firsts'.

I am so excited to see all these updates and pictures!
Liam will be 10 months on Sunday which is so crazy, I cannot believe how time is flying! He is a crawling machine but prefers to just walk around the couches or walls instead of crawling. I have a feeling we will have a walker before too long. He still has no teeth but has mastered BLW and is such a good eater. We are (hopefully) working back to him being a good sleeper, the 9ish month sleep regression was the first one that hit us and it's been a bit of a challenge but I feel like the addition of a sleep sack might be solving our problem! Everything about Christmas is blowing his mind right now so that's been super awesome to see. I am hoping he handles the holiday craziness well of bouncing around to see everyone. He usually can just go with the flow so I feel confident.
We are starting to gear up for his 1st birthday party. We are leaving for 10 days on a cruise the week after his birthday so I am trying to work on getting ready for both well in advance. We are doing a Dr. Suess theme and have 81 people on the invite list. I am optimistic that we are only going to have 55-60 so it should be insane lol.

dollyllama - He looks so grown-up! Great picture with Santa. That's one heck of a birthday party!
loira, yay! That's how H learned to crawl too. I was kind of expecting a distinct "first crawl" and it was more like a gradual advancement from rocking on hands and knees to sort of crawling to crawling. How much does A sleep at night?
@boiler717, it sounds like you don't need to worry about FTT anymore, huh?

A usually sleeps around 11-12 hours at night. She often wakes up once for a bottle, but goes straight back to sleep. She's great to put to bed - goes to sleep just fine on her own if I put her down awake - so I don't know how to wean her off the MOTN bottle, since I don't think it's a sleep problem thing, I think it's a hunger thing. She's never been one to eat large amounts of food or drink large bottles, so feeding her more before bed won't work. I think when my husband is here I'll try to wake her to eat right before I go to bed and see if at least that gives me (him, let's be honest, I'm not doing any nights while he's here lol) uninterrupted sleep.

Yeah it will be absurd but so much fun. Our house is a tri-level with a basement so we are going to take the basement door off it's hinge to help with space lol. The vacation the following week will be very earned

How did H finally decide to STTN?
I actually do wake H to nurse before I go to bed. She got in the habit of waking up on her own around 10pm or so, which works out well for me in that it's usually right before I go to bed. Now if she doesn't wake up on her own early enough, I'll still get her up and feed her before I go to bed. (She doesn't really wake up during night feedings, so I don't feel too bad about it.) It's generally not a big deal, although there are nights when she gets up too early and I'm still doing stuff, or nights when I'd prefer to go to bed early and can't, and it can be annoying when I'm out and have to come home earlier. We haven't tried giving her a bottle during night feedings; I think DH and I still have PTSD from her bottle-refusal days, even though of course she drinks bottles at daycare every day.
She just suddenly started sleeping through the night last month. She'd been waking up around 3-4am to nurse, and then one day, she just didn't, and then she still woke up at her normal time in the morning happily chatting to herself. It was off and on throughout November, but it's been consistent the last three weeks. It's glorious. I absolutely hate getting up in the middle of the night.
Alfie will be 4 months on Monday. He is such a happy little guy, always smiling and talking, pretty much never ever cries. We thought we really had hit the unicorn baby jackpot since he was sleeping really well too but that came to a full stop a month ago. Over the last month he's been waking up every hour or every second hour. Not screaming but still waking up. Oh well, I still hope it's wonder weeks related (started just when the app told me he was entering a fussy/stormy period) and if that's the case it should be over within the next week. And if not, I guess we will think about some kind of sleep training in the new year.
Being a mommy is all I thought it would be and more and I'm just overwhelmed by the love I feel.
Sort if IF related. My brother and SIL fought IF for years, supposedly did something like 4 or 5 failed IVFs and are now living CFNBC. They were never able to talk about it at all, so no one really knows much about it but clearly it's been really really hard on them. They have distanced themselves from anyone with kids and are always ignoring our other brother's two year old and if talking about him at all it's usually in a critizing way. So I was very nervous about how they would handle my pregnancy/baby. We were very open about our IF and that we did IVF so they know but my brother and I have not ever talked about it. And all while I was pregnant they treated the pregnancy as non excisting. So I was very nervous when they came to visit us a month ago. But to my great surprise they absolutely fell in love with Alfie, spent all weekend cuddling and playing with him and SIL have been spamming her facebook/instagram with pics of him and counting down the days til she gets to see him again. It's really quite adorable but heartbreaking at the same time. IF is so unfair!
cactuscookie, A used to sleep through the night back when that meant going to bed at 10pm and sleeping until 6am. Ever since she massively dropped naps and started sleeping longer at night she's been going to bed around 7:30, and getting up between 11pm and 1am for a bottle. So I think maybe getting her up for a bottle when I go to bed at 10:30 might just work. H gets here on Tuesday! I am so excited and hope he doesn't have any issues at customs since he already spent so long here as a visitor this past year. However, he has a return ticket and proof of employment with the uni in Texas, so I think he'll be okay.
Jack will be 21 months on Christmas Eve. He is just the best thing ever. He is so funny and friendly. He talks a ton and said "I love you!" unprompted for the first time this month. We took him to Disney World a few weeks ago, and he LOVED the characters. He was so into them. He slept until 9:05 am today. A year ago, I remember thinking I would never again sleep past 7 am (or at least not for a decade or so).
We started TTC again this fall, with two failed IUIs. We're on a break now because my H just found out he will be laid off, but hopefully we can start again soon. In the meantime, I will just keep enjoying my sleep!
Generally he is happy go lucky and it so fun to have a baby again. I'm on leave until September still and I feel so fortunate to get this time with him, and DD who is in part time kindy this year.
cactuscookie , loira , I also wake R to feed before I go to bed. Well, not really even wake, I keep things dim, he eats quickly and then passes right back out. Anyway, he wakes on his own between 10:30-12:00 or I wake him when I want to go to bed.
C turned 2 in November and is at a fun age right now. He's really into Christmas... Loves the lights, tree, Santa, playing with his nativity set, etc. I'm excited for Christmas morning!
Here's a picture of my little man after bath time tonight. He just got his first robe and I think he looks like he's headed into the boxing ring.
Hi all! I haven't posted in awhile--work has been busy and we're not supposed to use our laptops for personal use anymore. I do read updates on my phone, though, and am happy to see so many new TTTCGrad babies!
R is 6 months now and SO MUCH FUN. She is sitting up by herself, standing by herself holding onto a table ledge (for a few seconds anyway), holding her own bottle, and tries to take the spoon and feed herself when we give her jar food. Such an independent lady! Haha.
She has had a string of ear infections but even still, she is just the happiest baby. Everyone comments on her huge happy smile.
I am done pumping as of last week. I would've gone longer but my supply just dried up! I am gaining weight back (grr) but it is nice to get more sleep and not have to plan my day in 3-hour increments.
Overall, being a mom is the best and we just love her to pieces!
