New baby in March has things looking pretty bleak for 2017 travel. This is why I insisted that we go to Portugal when I was 20 wks pregnant.
I know we'll be in Chicago (without her) in October for the marathon, and I'm planning to suggest to DH that we spend the week between Christmas and New years in the USVI or BVI. Other than that, maybe an additional domestic trip to see family. It really depends on how this transition to a family of 3 goes.

January--cruise to the Bahamas March-ish--doing the whiskey/bourbon trail with DH, my sister, and her husband September--Palm Springs, CA
Possible work trips to Georgia (the country) in the spring and/or June.
There will be a few visits to see family somewhere in there, too (Canada, New York, Florida). We were supposed to go to Germany for a wedding, but the wedding has been postponed, so we now don't have a "big" trip planned for 2017. Not sure yet whether we'll pick someplace else to go or just save up $$/vacation time instead.
DH just started a new job and had a major drop in vacation days, but he arranged the time off for our big trip during negotiations. So the only thing with dates blocked out at the moment is our South Africa with a side to Victoria Falls trip. The itinerary is up in the air as DH originally bought a trip at a silent auction- wanted to cut out part of it to spend more time in Kruger no do Jo'burg on our own. Travel agent said we weren't locked into that trip is coming up with a custom plan after a few conversations.
I'm trying to figure out if I can fit Cuba into his schedule for his birthday in Feb.
Then we'll try to fit a dive live aboard in somewhere.
In February, we're eloping in Los Angeles and then flying to Thailand for a honeymoon. We'll visit Bangkok, Chiang Mai, and Ao Nang/Krabi.
That's all that is really planned so far. We may do a long weekend in Nashville to see friends at some point, and I hope that later in the summer or fall we can go somewhere, though if it's in the fall it will probably just be a long weekend due to work. I'm thinking I may just keep an eye on airfare deals and pick something based on that.
Shoot. All I have so far is Mexico in March. Probably road tripping to California in July or August (depending on my race schedule). And then maybe back to Nicaragua in December.
Trying to convince someone to go to Barcelona with me.
January - Napa for an annual girls trip June - I graduate from my masters program so I'm hoping we can take a 2-3 week trip. Right now we're planning on China to visit my fiance's friends and then either Thailand or Myanmar. If that plan doesn't work out, I'd love to go to Italy. August - Bend, Oregon with my family December - Possibly Costa Rica at the end of the year. Or maybe Belize.

I cannot recommend Myanmar enough, but I think June is the rainy season so just check that before you make any firm plans.
I think you're right about June, but it's really the only time we'd be able to go! It's one of the reasons we haven't decided where we're going yet.
SO is doing a backcountry snowboarding trip to Svalbard, but that's all we have booked.
We have weddings to attend around Lisbon and Trondheim. And midsummer in Uranas, Sweden. Plus my grandmother's 90th birthday in Indianapolis. So we will need to figure out how much more vacation we'll have before we plan anything big.
I'll know by the spring if we can go back to Europe in the fall (we went this past Sep to Scotland/Ireland/England).
I'm trying to see if we'll have enough money and if I'll have enough PTO to do the big trip to Vienna/Salzburg we've been wanting to do for awhile. If we don't, I think we'll still try to go to Amsterdam instead. It's probable due to family circumstances that we won't be able to take a trip that long in 2018, so I really hope it works out this next year.
-Cebu, Philippines -Chiang Mai & Koh Samui, Thailand -hoping for Chengdu, China for a long weekend but the flights suck so might not go -Cruise out of Japan to random Japanese islands & Taiwan -then we move back to the US

South Island of New Zealand for 2 weeks in March, Maui in May for a week, Banff and Glacier in July for a week, hopefully small weekend national park trips mixed in, and undecided on our fall trip - perhaps somewhere in Asia or South America.

Unfort not Kilimanjaro (not yet at least)! But my friends are going in late February so they are in the same phase as you are. I have done all those parks and then the classic Zanzibar trip at the end. You are going to have such an amazing time. Beautiful country, beyond wonderful people, and great food!

we really wanted to add Zanibar but that is where YOLO got a reality check of time and money! we have a day in Arusha on either end and are trying to figure out the flight options. (we are coming from east coast). right now it looks like KLM to amsterdam, amsterdam to Arusha. There is a Dubai option via Emirates from the layover is not that long.
thebulldog, we did ams to arusha it was quite nice, klm doesnt annoy me too much, but maybe not as nice as emirates. Do u have a place to stay yet in Arusha? We love the Ahadi Lodge, awesome food.
