In honor of explorer2001, let's do Thursday Thankfuls again!
Mine, so thankful that my SIL had a healthy pre-term baby. And so proud of my SIL that she changed her mind about breastfeeding when the doctors told her that it was best for the baby. She has really grown up in the last week.
I'm thankful for the great dad that MH is. He's been at home the past two days with a sick BB who has a stomach virus so I can concentrate on my new job.

I am thankful that we are healthy and happy and that we are able to provide for our children (emotional and financial) in ways that our parents were not.

Sorry BB is under the weather
How is the new job going? Are you happy?
I like the job but it's been a strange transition for me. I was in my old position for 10 years and could do things in my sleep. It's been "hard" to learn a new way to do things I've been doing and getting to know all new people and who to go to etc.
Sometimes I get a little "homesick" for the way it was but I know that I made the right move.
I am thankful that I just had lunch with my grandma (plus aunt & uncle). She is getting older and it is always good to find the time to see her and I am reminded of that during the holidays.
I am thankful that when I leave work today I do not have to return until 2017!

I'm thankful that the university I worked for is closed next week so we can go North for Christmas.
I'm thankful DH's cousin had her baby girl this week and they are headed home already and look great. She had a very rough time with her first and spent 12 days in the hospital.
My family that I can't wait to see. My asshole cats that I love an insane amount which is good because we've spent $750 on them this month...free cats my ass. Our awesome friends that check-in on us and each other. Mr. P still has a job despite the on-going downturn. That we have the means for a decent life and giving to others. Chocolate and sleep and diet coke.

I'm glad you're happy there! Settling in is always tough - I hope it's a smooth transition for you.
I'm thankful for my health and relationships. And also for the wonderful authors who have written all these fabulous books I cannot wait to devour over the next few weeks!!!
I am thankful for being able to buy our house in our favorite part of the state! Also that my husband is finally employed and is liking his new job. I'm not thrilled about my job search, but I seem to be finding lots of options which is a relief because two years ago and four years ago I was pretty desperate for any job.

I'm thankful that a vacant house did not flood after the power company turned of the power, unbeknownst to us. I'm thankful that the judge saw it our way today.
I'm thankful for having a great team at at my job and I'm thankful for being tasked with special projects. The last year has been great at work and I'm even more excited about 2017.
I am thankful for unexpected cash this week!!!! First my child support arrears was paid off then... $3200 in unexpected cash today!!!!! I literally cried

I'm thankful that my family of 5 is all together this week, healthy and happy. We got to see some close relatives tonight that are only in town today and it was really great to see them and have them meet DS2.
I'm thankful for DD2. I'm thankful I was strong enough to deliver her pain med-free. I'm thankful for DH and my mom helping me remember my strength during the rough periods. I'm thankful for the wonderful care my OB gave me, and that she didn't laugh her ass off in my face when I kept screaming "how did this happen? why did this happen?" during my un-medicated pushing.
I'm thankful my dad is still alive to see another granddaughter born. I'm thankful he's back on the waitlist for a new kidney after his heart operation this year.
