The "carry-on" bag I have is not really carry-on size (it said it was when I bought it, but actually checking most airline's size requirements, it is too large). I would also really like a spinner suitcase.
Does anyone have a carry-on size spinner suitcase they love? I wouldn't mind something expandable so that if I wanted to, I could expand it for non-flight trips or if I wanted to just check it instead, but fitting as a carry-on is the most important.

I have a mix of Kirkland and Tumi and they are very similar. Tumi makes spinners, but since they are pretty much indestructible, mine have the old school wheels. I have no real plans to upgrade because mine are still perfect and I use them almost weekly.
The Kirkland spinner I have is the best suitcase I've ever had. Got it in an emergency a few years ago (zipper broke on the one I had from ebags as I was heading out he door) and it has taken a beating! It looks excellent and has been on at least 20-25 trips, domestic and international, checked and carry on.
We have Samsonite spinner luggage that we love. We have used the warranty on a few pieces, and that's pretty nice to have. I've heard really good things about the Kirkland luggage too.

Mine has been discontinued, but I bought it at Tuesday Morning for much, much less. The bag is virtually indestructible, and I've lived out of it over a month.....unexpanded.
I have had it about 10 years now, and it has been everywhere.
I have no insight - I use a cheapo from Target, I think, and it's held up fine.
360 wheels!
Ooooooohhh. Sorry. Just never heard that before.
My H uses a Zero one that he loves, and it's held up really well - he travels a lot more than I do these days. My cheapo is not 360, but has held up so well that I can't justify replacing it, lol.

Thanks, everyone! I don't mind pricey because I am hoping to keep this for a long, long time and want something that is virtually indestructible. I will check out all these recs.

Oh shit! Some of the Tumi bags are $1300! LOL That is probably a bit too pricey, but it looks like some are more in the neighborhood of $500-600. That I could probably swallow.
Yeah, I have not purchased luggage in years, and what I did purchase was from JCP I think. I didn't even realize there was luggage out there that cost over 1K for a bag! Whoops.
TravelPro. We are so glad we finally broke down and bought some good luggage. It's served us well. Consumer reports just came out with a list of recommended luggage and I think Kirkland was up there pretty high, along with TravelPro. I've had Samsonite (purchased at Costco) before and it was crap.

I think the Kirkland ones are $125-150 (iirc). I am a fan for that reason also.
Has anyone bought a carry on recently that is as big as the ones from like, a decade ago?
I'm still using my Macy's last minute luggage purchase from our honeymoon because all the carry ons I see are so much smaller. I want to be able to not check a bag when we travel. I don't over pack, but sometimes I like more than 4 things in my bag.

Most of those older styles are no longer legal carryons. Several of the larger airlines made the limits smaller in the last few years so even if you find one you might be forced to gate check the bag.

Haven't yet, but I know the day is coming. I need a new bag anyway so I'll have to deal with a smaller one
