i've crocheted off and on for years but am looking to get back into it this year as one of my 2017 resolutions. i picked up these two kits to make some characters for my toddler...
any recommendations for good places to get yarn for these types of projects? i've done michael's/ac moore before but would be happy to find an online retailer too, or any specific brands i can find on amazon.
thanks for any recs and hope to spend more time over here as i get back into crafting!
For little animaguri projects I prefer Vanna's Choice worsted yarn since it comes in so many colours and the balls of wool are not overly large. I'm in Canada, so I can't speak for other retailers, but I generally get it at Michaels.

Do you have a local yarn store? Mine has a consignment set up for people to get rid of extra or half used skeins. Might be worth checking to see if there's a place that has a "stash buster" event near you.
