Yep. I'm technically 4' 11 3/4" but I always say I'm 5'. I can't reach the floor in our conference room chairs at work and they have a tendency to tilt back. I look like a little kid leaning back with my feet swinging. lol
I'm 5'4.5" which is about average height for an American female. I have short legs though, so I dangle in some situations and have to get all my pants hemmed.

One of my friends is 5'10", which is tall to me, and she kept talking about her tall female friend who was coming to visit.
Her friend was 6'7". We went out to the local restaurant / bar and I felt so bad for her because we had an endless flock of men coming up to the table wanting to take their picture with her.
5'2 1/4". They do always specifically say that 1/4". If I shop anywhere I get pants in petite and/or short. Gtfo with you 5'6 people!!!
My SO's roommate is 6'8. I go up to about his waistline and his gf is my height, maybe a lil shorter. It's just odd walking withh or if I take his stuff out of the dryer there's no confusion on who's clothes are who's at that apt.
I hate the argument that short people can just hem pants, but tall people can't add length. Hemming can alter the shape of the pants, so not always a great solution. It can suck for everyone! We need the option of different lengths, like men's pants.
