For those with toddlers, when did you start brushing teeth? I occasionally swipe A's teeth and gums with a washcloth, but should I be doing more at this point? She has 4 teeth and 2 more on the way. cactuscookieboiler717G22Muddled
Well, I bought a toothbrush at least a month ago...but we haven't used it. She only has two teeth still, although some more are coming in now. This is a good reminder to introduce toothbrushing into her bedtime routine asap.

T has 8 and we started as they came in. Just a rubber brush and water. It's NBD to start whenever though!
oneslybookworm , what time is the appointment today!? I CAN'T WAIT!!!!
AFM, just over 17 weeks now. I feel like I look huge but I think that's just because I know what I normally look like. When I take a picture, it's still just a wee little bump. Feeling good, although I'm having a lot of trouble sleeping. Plus, I'm feeling pressure on/in my tummy and that pinching/pulling that's way low.. which is what happened right before I popped, so I foresee this belly getting bigger soon.
A friend bought us the CUTEST little gift yesterday. It's a personalized Steelers jersey (Dh is a huge football fan) and the back has the number 17 and says "McBaby." Our last name is a Mc name, so we've been calling the baby that. haha It's SO TINY AND CUTE. That tiny AND it's 18m so it can be worn the following season when they're running around. haha I love it.
You KNOW I'm a Steelers fan...I want to see a picture of this jersey!!!

loira I bought L the baby banana teething toothbrush. I just give it to him while we're getting lotioned and dressed before bed. I flip the bristle side over after a minute or so. Although he still hasn't cut his first tooth so I suppose my answer might not help.
I told him if he doesn't hurry, his sibling might have teeth before him.

GL,with your Appts King26, thoseareradishes! My fingers are crossed G22! starryfish, I'm happy to hear you're doing well on your own AND fit into pre-pregnancy jeans! Yougive me hope! oneslybookworm,no cant remember if I've congratulated you; I think you were matched right after C's birth. I am so happy for you and hope for nothing but smooth sailing from here on for you!
C is 9 days old. We've been out of the hospital for 2 days now and getting into our routine (can't remember if I shared here that I had post c-section complications). I'm loving being a new mom and am so grateful to have my H and my mom with me to help. My MIL comes next week and I'm nervous about that visit. We had newborn shits (should say shots but I'm leaving it!) today and C did SO well, I can't wait to see proofs! He has his cardiologist follow-up tmw (hopefully the last appt since the initial fetal echo in October). We'll have his 2week check and a hearing re-test in the next week, too. Busy, busy!

So, haven't heard back from the birth mom yet regarding yesterday's appointment. The agency hasn't heard from her either. I'm sure this is "normal" but I am so upset right now I just want to crawl into a room and bawl. I honestly have no idea what to think at this point.
Big hugs, oneslybookworm . EM's emotions must be all over the place, so I would try not to read into her actions at this point. I hope you hear from her soon.

No, absolutely, and I can completely sympathize with that. It's just hard to keep that in mind when everything is so uncertain. Plus, my mom called this morning to tell me my dad has pneumonia, which can be fatal for Parkinson's patients.

Oh I can imagine! I'm so sorry to hear about your Dad I hope he is on the mend soon. Hugs!
I'm sorry. Hope you hear from them soon, oneslybookworm!
Chrysanthemum, I'm glad you're home now. I didn't have complications, but here the policy is to keep you 4 days in the hospital. We were there 5 days because A wasn't gaining well and her temps kept going down. I remember feeling SO much more human once we were home.
oneslybookworm, I am so sorry for all of the stress you must be going through right now. I'm sure it is totally normal and common for a birth mom to take some time for themselves after appointments, but it is just so hard for the adoptive parents; I cannot imagine the fear you are feeling. Just know you are in my heart.
Hey ladies Just got finished with our appointment. We heard the heartbeat, it was 176 beats per minute and I'm measuring 3 days ahead so that was all a relief. My husband got all teary. In the car he said I just got so emotional, I didn't think it would hit me like that. So, I'm feeling pretty good today
DS is currently napping in my arms and he keeps smiling in his sleep. Sometimes I'm so incredibly overwhelmed with gratitude that he is ours, and that we finally got here, that I think my heart might burst
